hey i know im commenting four years later but me and my lock smith are stumped. he tried to use his programmer to reprogram a refurbished 2017 altima key to my car. it didn’t work and now my car won’t start. the heads up display that shows tire pressure doesn’t show anything but it lights up. all lights are working in the car.

waaazup D NO I do not recommend those. I’ve had customers purchase those try themselves and completely disabled their Nissan. Call a legit locksmith in your area.
@@AllAboutPurple Depends, most don’t carry those keys unless they do them a lot. I had to buy mine from Nissan to be precise. Then just take it to someone who has the tools to program it and cut the ekey
@@raddderz around $200. But if you can get the part number from the dealer, you can eBay them for sometimes half the price. BUT THEY MUST BE NEW. Used are locked and won’t program to another car anymore. Unless someone unlocks them.
Good morning can you reprogram your keyless key fob if you don’t have the computer you’re using . I replace my battery last week and my key fob has been giving me blues every since .
You don’t need that computer to reprogram a remote. Just follow all the steps in your car with the remote and it will program itself. I just did it with my girlfriends 2017 Altima.
What steps do you follow? I lost my original key but when I opened the car with a spare key the alarm went off and wouldn't stop till I disconnected the battery. It doesn't recognize the spare key.
@@karinajtrinidadHi there. There is no steps to “on board”program a smart key for Altima or any Nissan for that matter. The comment above is 100000% false. Special tools are required.
The little key that the remote has slides out when you push the back thing. Then use the ekey to open the Door. If the fob has dead batteries, push the fob into the start button and the car will start.
Junior Sevilla it's a sbb key programmer you can buy them on eBay or Amazon these ones are £300 however you can get the ck-100 for 70 and It does the same thing
