Just bought a 2017 Titan Pro 4x in solid Pearl White this week. This truck is amazing....lots of power ..great interior and in person it definetly has the muscle look to it.
I purchased a 2018 Nissan Titan last year and after being a long term gm owner i am really impressed with Nissan. I think they absolutely nailed this truck and got it right
You bring up the point that you love the Pro-4X model but I'm not sure how you miss the biggest difference between the Pro-4X and the other models...the lockable rear differential.
Gazziza29 To be fair, most people don't even know what they're for. The majority of people who buy any kind of off-road trim or vehicle will only buy it for it's looks or luxuries. =,(
I've owned one for 4months now. I bought it even tho I 100% didn't fully like the front end. The cab back Love it. Now 4 months in having driven it in terrible snowy whether on the passes I am confident this truck is the right choice. the front end has grown on me. I didn't buy just for aesthetics, a lot of other stuff came into play, power/TQ, interior looks and comfort, ride etc. More should cross brand shop, they'd be pleasantly surprised. I also think it is better looking than the Tundra which to me looks like a Camry on roids. Cheers
Regis Riley It's always the eye of the beholder. I think the new 250 is butt ugly. Like a lunchbox going down the road but Ford fans love it... why I don't know. It's always subjective. But fan boyz will always favour brand loyalty
Bought the platinum in July. I traded a 2014 tundra. I like the fact that this isn't a new engine and they sell the truck with a standard 100k mile bumper to bumper. So far it's excellent in the snow. Some things i miss about tundra but other things i don't. Biggest thing i miss is the extra room in the backseat of the tundra x cab. No full size matches that tundra backseat room.
I love my 2017 Titan SV 4x4 cruising down the highway at a 110 with a Maserati and an Audi getting 19.5 miles to the gallon so smooth so stable fantastic ride at any speed this is definitely the truck to have my fourth Titan and absolutely the best of the Titans I've had
I like the fact that these trucks are not popular. I like under dogs. I can find amazing deals on Titan XD pro 4x. I was in the market for an off road capable truck. Only problem was off road variants of Ford and Dodge cannot tow. This pro 4x can keep up off road and can tow which is nice. 5/8 truck with good off road capability and pretty decent gas mileage is a win win. Just waiting a bit more for all the bugs to be worked out.
A rolling office. I likey. plus is has a bed😉 Great review. Now torn between titan and tundra. After this review I'm leaning more towards the tan instead of tun. Had a pro 4 x frontier and it was awesome!
I am late watching this vid. Any updates on the truck now after ownership? issues and problems? I am looking to buy one of these trucks used a 2017 pro x with 37,000 miles.
Not being an ass or nothing but there is a BIG DIFFERENCE in steering dampening between all of the trucks you mentioned. You my friend have Popeye strength so its unnoticeable to you. 👍
I love my Titan 17 pro 4x I enjoy the hell out of it! But it’s not perfect like every vehicle out there. First the screen is too small! Second awesome sound system in mine with sub but there is this loud ugly vibration outside under passengers side. Also the Bluetooth connectivity has pissed me off in the past. Just takes forever to play music. Maybe it’s my Iphones fault. But it feels fast without effort and powerful. It really gets my blood flowing. I owned a 14 Silverado High Country and it honestly was trash. It felt generic and slow as shit and wasn’t efficient at all. I would and should have waited til Nissan worked the kinks out of their new Titan as mentioned in the reviews by some others. I don’t understand the big deal about which truck to buy nowadays! They all really do look the same. But yes I’m sure Nissan copies or got ideas from other makers, but don’t all makers do that shit?
I have the all pearl white with black accent pro-4x ... the storm trooper look ...lol. Love this truck more the longer I own it. I looked at a GMC sierra ... all the bells and whistles... 4x4 etc. At the end of the day, I couldn't walk away from the 5 year 100k bumper to bumper Nissan offered vs. the 3 year 36k every one else offered. With the 360 view camera, you know exactly where you're at parking and moving this truck through tight spaces. Awesome truck. Don't pass up a test drive if you're in the market.
I got a 2017 Nissan Titan 4x4 crew cab back in December. Been having issues with the rear leaf spring. Got it replaced and now having the same problem with it again. Also I'm having front suspensions problems with squeaky noises. Sounds like a pack of Hyenas laughing when I go over a series of bumps. Also the back bed sounds like I have a box of tools in the bed when going off road. I'm starting to think the truck isn't able to handle off road like other trucks in it's class.
Unfortunately my friend your starting to deal with common nissan product malfunctions . Just be grateful your not expierencing a d engine knock yet. There's many issues with this truck. People have had to replace nthe engine multiple times in some cases. I hope yours is one of the good ones. If you start having more abd more issues as time goes by, I would strongly suggest u have it fixed under warranty and them trade it in or sell it. Unfortunately nissan had just dropped the ball in quality control. They used to be great up until 2012 or so, then something happened .wish u the best
It's too bad dealrships didn't give you an options. They should as it's an expensive endeavor to upgrade when you just paid, 20, 30 40 plus thousand dollars.
coming from a 2010 tundra, i don't see a worth while upgrade, and I've been waiting for this titan for years. The Titan was innovative in 04, but lacked liability. The new 17' Titan can't compete with the competition. Truck drivers loves bragging rights, Nissan should had differentiate itself from the competition. But I am on here looking at the Titan, I must want one more than I know
I bought a Titan when they 1st came out in 2005 and the f****** transmission blew up at 90000 miles and I had a bunch of problems with the headers the manifolds that kept cracking it was a piece of s***
The newer titan 2009+ are known to be much more reliable now. Nissan need to work on aesthetic if they want people to buy the truck. Most just don't like the looks
Strange the transmission went. I have an 07 and it runs still with 202k miles all on original parts and drivetrain. Haven't even replaced the manifolds. Probably the best truck I've ever owned. But they did start to filter out problems by the end of 2007 so I'm not sure about your 05.
Nissan Titan XD has problems with drive-train. The problem is caused by a "resonance frequency" that occurs at speeds above 75 mph. Vibrations caused by a condition that occurs in the power train systems at speeds above 75 mph and continued operation causes the transmission and driveshaft components to fracture. The problem is unnoticeable until it causes damages and the truck quits moving while driving.
Well, I recommend you put aside some money because as soon as warranty runs out you will eventually have drive-train and/or driveshaft problems with your truck. It's a matter of time
