Good shooting and great form! Loose grip, plumb bow. I was rewinding to the target camera to see if I could hear the PSE from 93 yards away. But I still heard the music at the target cam. Apparently the PSE Evolve is one of the quietest bows in 2017 and that is a must in my book. Those stealthy deer, elk, etc have those big ole dumbo ears for a reason! Seen those magicians duck under and leap over arrows from noisy bows more than a few times over the years. This bow will be hanging in my tree stands for the next few years. Thanks so much for a great video and God bless!
Welcome to bowhunting. Loved the evolve as well and never liked pse before. Just to echo and elaborate on a comment someone made below...glad you didn't take a 70 yard shot regardless of you years of experience. 70 yards on a whitetail is a very reckless shot whitetails do a lot when an arrows in the air on long shots, even at 30 yards sometimes. While I don't agree that you should never shoot at any live game(mule deer seem to stay put and elk I would) at 70 I do believe an initial shot at a whitetail is way too far. If you've already hit one/ wounded one with an arrow I feel you should continue to shoot in attempt to down your deer until the deer is outside the 75 yard range, provided you have sight pins for close to the yardages.
if your new to archery I must say you have great form. nice video. I shoot a pse prophesy. love it but looks like it's time for update. I killed a stud in wi with it this season on video. good luck to the season's to come
oh yeah. shame about bowtech. that video drove bowtechs name from being dodgy into the mud. I hope they sort their act out. how easy to tune is the evolve?
Great shooting! Also what signt is that it looks to be an hha but what model? I was looking into getting one but haven't really necked it down to specific models, thanks!
JayceM 21987 I believe it a HHA Optimizer Lite .. I honestly don't think I like it for the purpose of hunting at least for me cause deer move .. so I'm constantly having to readjust the pin as it moves or debate where it's gunna b and have my site set and ready for that yardage .. Idk I think I might b getting like a 3 or four pin for this next season so can focus on the hunt more than messing with my site 💁🏼♂️
keegansulin you could get something thats the best of both worlds, an 3 pin adjustable slider sight so you can sight it in at 20, 30 and 40 for hunting as well as move the sight for the longer ranges fo target. I just got mine in a few days ago for 120 on amazon and its great
no one should be taking a 70yd shot on a live animal with a bow anyway. But love the looks on that bow man. I'm a Prime shooter myself, but after shooting the Evolve 35 this past weekend at my local shop, I'm thinking of making the switch.
good choice on not taking that shot before ya practiced it! How is the back wall compared to the btx? Nice flows man (I did the same thing for awhile) and now I'm filming hunts and doing reviews. check out my channel if ya get a chance. Awesome review and shooting!
hey thanks for the love man:) .. music is coming back around, got a lot of confirmation that I need to keep writing... so that's what I'm gunna do.... the bow to me feels like the btx ... but the cool thing is that I can set thing to 90% let off if I choose but I personally don't like that .. it just ... feels crazy ... like I'm holding nothing .. but I could see how hunters could learn to love that .. and yes ill check u out man thanks again :)
I believe I've watched one of your other videos about your new btx and the limb breaking on you. Not absolutely positive but pretty sure. Don't know how new to archery you are but I think I seen your other video last year and you talked about sitting for awhile but who knows I could be wrong it's happened before.
Sammy Hughes yes sir .. that was my other video.. not sure what u mean by "sitting a while" .. this is my third year hunting and still have yet to receive my first kill .. so yes im new to archery:) .. i sat a while (about 7 weeks ) when i was waiting for my replacement bow?? is that perhaps what i might of said ??
keegansulin Sorry meant to say shooting awhile. Keep shooting like that and you'll get your first bow kill yet. Long shots just make shorter shots feel easier. Been doing this a long time and practice all the way out to 125 yards just for fun and to hone my skills. It also makes you hold a little more steady when the time comes to harvest animals. Good luck to you.
Sammy Hughes thanks:) .. yes i like to just shoot for fun... i like seeing how far i can shoot accurately and agree about what it will do for close range .. ive had plenty of chances to make a harvest but they seem to show up at an inopportune time :( .. but thanks again and ill keep at it :)
