Since 2016, Ive gone through a whole bunch of bluetooth headphones just to find the one that works for me. Could these finally be the ones? Let's find out!
@@zthreetwo9874 Personally, I don't find any difference in sound quality between the Soundtrue, the Soundlink, or the QC35s'. But my ears are a bit shit now, so my opinion may be skewed. I can tell you that they all resolve minor details in music very well, and all sound excellent IMHO.
@@victorloganjr8797 oh God. I really hope they don't sound like the soundtrue. I got those about a year ago and they sound horrible. I though they were broken when I first tried them.
@@victorloganjr8797 I have a question. how are the headphones holding up after these years? Are the ear pads coming apart? That seems to be a problem for some people from Amazon reviews
@@cebedojames Sometime in the immediate future Ill post up a video showing what mine look like over the last few years. I think it's better to see the level of decay versus just writing about them.
I like Bose and I like Apple.. Good stuff. I have a set of the headphones you are reviewing. I love the Soundstage, fit and features. A great Bose product. These headphones fit “on” my ear. Therefore, no heat problem. P.s. I venture to say, most people will wear these on ear.
Hey Mark, Happy New Year, and sorry for not responding sooner. I'll be wrapping up my long term evaluation hopefully sometime this month.......hopefully.
Good, honest assessment Victor. I'm angling for a pair (in white) for my birthday next month and although I actually prefer 'wired' (3.5mm jack) versions, the fact that these offer both wired & BT is a bonus for me. Also, having tried out a pair in our local John Lewis store here, I was very impressed too - many thanks
I agree with you my friend, i must have returned 8-10 headphones in the last 2 months. Never believed the bose hype, finally pulled the trigger and yes these bose (and prolly other Bose) are a very good quality headphones. I will return the best sounding headphone ever if the fit isnt very good and these bose soundlink DO meet the fit/comfort requirements. Fit/comfort- 9 1/2 / 10 Sound - 9/10 Anyone hateing on these is either a dummy or havent really gave them a try and are talking outta their ass.
Good review. You're the first person I saw to comment on the angled speakers in the ear cups. That's because of the angle of the ears. Good job. You also pointed out the passive noise cancelation which most people dismiss because Bose makes active noise cancelling headphones. They are over priced. But they are very good. What wired cans do you use for dj'ing? I like the Samson 745.
Hey Paul! Thanks for the compliment, but honestly, I'm a bit cantankerous about certain things; headphones among them. What really lead me to comment on the slant was actually part of a much longer review which had the Koss BT540i cans. I never got chance to really evaluate them because the grill squeezed right up against my ears, and was uncomfortable as hell. That whole squeezing against my old-ass ears became part of a list of deal-breakers as far as the cans were concerned. As far as the passive noise reduction is concerned, I just found it was a big deal, especially how the Bose are designed. When I was actively Djing, I used Ultrasone DJ1-Pros. For my audio restoration/ noise removal, I got another set of Ultrasones (the model escapes me and they are not longer available). I also have Shure SHR440s that I used off and on for Djing. Nowadays, I used a pair of Bose Soundtrue wired headphones, primarily because they also do a superior job of knocking down the outside noise versus the other three I mentioned, which also happen to be pretty good headphones. I have to give the caveat that now on the off chance I play out, I try to work in an environment where I don't get the full blast of the music in the venue; usually in a booth, or as far removed from the speakers as possible. I cue, monitor, and mix exclusively through my headphones.
@@victorloganjr8797 well, I am amazed. it is my first premium kind of headphones, and I really can tell the difference. Sound is great (I listen mostly to heavy metal and all its sub genres....) , they are very light and comfortable.for non-active noise cancellation headphones they cancel noise very good as they are around ear. thanks again for reviewing these,as it helped me decide :) p.s writing this comment while listening to music with my new pair of Bose soundlink 2 ;)
Im planning on buying one coz I have Huawei Mate 10 Pro and it uses type-C for audio and its too much of a hassle. I always watch netflix and youtube and so I would like to know if there is an audio-video lag? Secondly, does the sound leak much because I also use audible and I dont want people hearing what book Im listening to. Thanks!
Hey, Cinammon! Thanks for stopping by! No audio lag. Period. As far as sound leak, that is a lot harder to define because we all listen to stuff at different levels, and don't always wear the gear the way it's intended.. As long as the pads completely cover your ears, you should not have that issue. Keep in mind, though if you like to crank up the volume way high, or you have crazy ears, there is a risk of folks hearing some of what you're playing.
How loud are these headphones? Like can I use this if I am in a busy environment or if Im in the backseat of a car while they're blasting music and be okay?
Hey, George! So, that's a tough one. Is it loud enough? Well, for me it is plenty loud enough, and I work in a very noisy environment. It wont totally drown out the ambient, but if you wear the cans properly, they will knock down the noise good enough. so that its not too distracting. And then you can crank up the volume as you like. Hope that helps. Happy Holidays, George!
Hello , I listen only to pop songs and I will buy these headphones soon so , Is the bass good for pop songs or no ? I am afraid to get bored of it because people say that it has very weak bass
Hey, There! Honestly, this is really subjective. Of my personal favorites, I like these and I like the V-Moda. The V-Moda has a heavier bass than the Bose, so you might want to give those a try instead. Only real downside if you go that route is that they are built like tanks, so they are heavier feeling. But they hit very good. I prefer the lighter weight of the bose, even though they don't have the same level of hard hitting base. Bose's main advantage it the fuller, more articulate soundstage that is less muddy sounding, and very cleaner sounding. For such a full range capability, something has to give, and happens to be the bass. So, if you want a harder bass and slightly muted stage, go with V-MODA. If you like a full range, brighter, sound, go with Bose.
Victor Logan thanks for the recommendtion 😀 but I am choosing between these and beats solo 3 . The solo 3 is very good for pop songs but it is on ear so it doesn't isolate much and the studio 3 is 350$ and I can't find it on sale so I will not buy them .
