My hometown, born and raised there, and saw it grow from a medium-sized town in the 1960s to a city by the time I left in 1990. I could tell a zillion stories about almost every block seen here, particularly on the south side (downtown area).

Very nice! I haven't been to Kamloops in over 15 years and it's very nice to see this tour of the city. British Columbia is a summer vacation spot for me.
Love your start in Brockelhurst at the corner of Young and Schriner. I grew up just 4 blocks North on Briarwood Ave way back in the 70's. Those were GREAT times back then...Thanks for the memories!
This is my home that I haven't been to in almost 15 years. I moved when I was 14 to the Boston area in Massachusetts. I want to permanently return home one day but until then it's videos like this that hold me over. Thank you! Annnndd oh my gosh, you drove by my favorite card and collectibles store! We used to go hang out there during lunch time and buy MTG cards!Awesome to see it again! And that big hill right before the bridge on your way to Aberdeen is where we'd sometimes stand and signal the truckers to "sound the alarm". Good times!
Kaydrah Communications Wanderlust yes Kamloops is a welcome site along the TCH as you head west. You feel as though you're finally "out of the remote wilderness" so-to-speak, and from that point on, it's all big freeways and bigger larger towns/cities all the way to Vancouver. No more narrow 2-lane highway that you will have been driving for the past 4 hours since the BC / Alberta border.
you cracked me up at small place toronto :D NICE MUSIC ATUALLY i am flying from toronto to vancouver next week and then from vancouver to calgary by road. and the plan is to visit vancuver downtown and then garibaldi lake then kamloops then jasper national park then banf natinal park and last calgary and fly back to toronto. any suggestions are welcomed .thanks!
Shame the only part of Kamloops I saw, was the bus station doing the 40 minutes break I got taking a Greyhound bus, from Vancouver to Calgary and the great view over the city from the highway.
No, I think it's at the edge of Kamloops, and for what I remember the bus didn't drive significantly far down a road after exiting the highway for getting to the bus station. Most buildings around it was car dealers, gas stations and a Starbuck with drive thru.
Hi I did get to kamloops last Xmas for 6 weeks but the weather was grim -25 went to sun peaks, kelowna and sparkling hills hotel has a great time would love to return

I don't recommend coming right now, evacuees from all over because of the wild fires, and if you are be concerned the smoke could give you breathing issues, I live there
