Come along for a ride across Canada from the comfort of your chair. This channel will feature my stylized collection of cross-country journeys, complete with a killer soundtrack DJ'd by myself. My Road Videos have been featured on "Big Brother Canada" and celebrate the landscapes and road engineering of this country.
Its all legal and part of the motorcycle test . Filter to the fromt , we pull away faster . Uk drivers are taught to look out for bikes before changing lanes .
thanks! I'm headed out on the road tomorrow, but I hear that Jasper National Park is being evacuated because of the fires. I'm probably not going to go up that way, I'll stay along the south.
7:15 I definitely feel at home in open land too. I might live in a big city (the Dallas-Fort Worth area) and I appreciate what the big city has to offer... but I always love me a nice trip across open grasslands. It makes me sad to see the fairly-open grasslands on the west side of Fort Worth get paved over with suburbia.
I saw that you posted a new video and wasted no time in watching, Phil. I have a somewhat goofy takeaway... Has anyone ever tried excavating on or near that rockfall? I'd bet there must be a treasure-trove of old artifacts buried there. It'd be a daunting task, though.
My understanding is they’ve left it largely intact. There is a whole museum and stuff located right there now dedicated to the disaster. Unfortunately I didn’t visit it. I should next time.
The slide is in a Restricted Development Area that was created by the Alberta Government. There are still human remains that have never been recovered from the slide area, so disturbing that for any reason would be highly insensitive. But, the CPR (now CPKC) line and Highway 3 have had some rock moved for small expansions over the years and the future twinning of Highway 3 calls for some rock to be moved.
I know the Crowsnest Pass is Canada's southernmost mountain pass of the Continental Divide of the Americas on the road, but this is also a good sight for driving between Hope and Lethbridge along the Crowsnest Hwy.
Interesting video. Drove past my old house in Chapel just before you got to the roundabout going to Sparrowpit. The road through Sparrowpit is on the way to my grandma's house in Great Longstone. All distant memories now though.
Used to know someone who was very dear to me. Flew out from Winnipeg to visit this person and the Calgary Banff drive was the last good memory I had with this person. Although they ended up being very poor to me in the end, I'll never forget the times we shared together and how much of a positive impact they had on my view of people and my life as a whole. Regardless, Thank you for the upload it brings back very good memories... Peace be with you!
2:17 Hi Phil, here's a terminology you could use in your later videos. That type of interchange mentioned with two at-grade roundabouts is generally called a dumbbell interchange. Hope this helps!
