Scratch Gaming - I wasn't clear with my point. Off+shore to me means just that - racing between distant marks, across open water, sometimes (often) out of sight of land. There is far more to true offshore racing than the biggest boat with most power around a relatively small circuit. Whilst I appreciate that this works for spectators, TV etc, it should be called inshore circuit racing, not offshore which has completely different context. What a great sport to watch. Just discovering al do, I'm from the Netrherlands, and in ouw hometown we had, Kees van de Velden a F1 speedboat racer. Several times world champion, and building his own boats.
