Looking forward to seeing the British & Irish Lions take on the NZ Super Rugby teams this year. It seems like a mission at this rate considering the cohesion that these sides have built this year. I remember them dominating most of the Australian Super Rugby sides in their last tour, but this looks like a different task altogether. Well played Crusaders.
Well it depends on how pedantic you want to be. I'm only look at those who qualified through residency. Stander and Payne are the ones who qualified through residency. Te'o is half English. The Vunipola's and Faletau were raised in their respective countries and are products of said countries rugby systems. They are perfectly legit in my mind. Either way, you can hardly say it's FULL of them, can you? 6 is hardly a majority.
The Stormer's no 15 signature move is to attempt a tackle, fail miserably at it, then sit on the grass afterwards looking dejected. See 01:37 and 01:51 in the clip for more details.....
Stormers were the best a couple of weeks ago because they've played the Bulls, Cheetahs, Kings, Sunwolves etc. Got hammered last week by a genuine rugby team. Got hammered again this morning. There's a few more of this beatings on the way, especially against the Canes! Rubbish
TheUltimate SharpShooter They were good against a Chiefs side that struggled to put the Rebels away in Melbourne the week before. The same Chiefs side that struggled to put the Force away this morning. Still, it was a good win against the Chiefs. The rest? Rubbish!!!
Ya, i didn't say the Crusader 0. I still said it was 36 points for the Crusaders which still would have given them the win, which is about right. The Crusaders were the better team and deserved the win no doubt, but they were easily given 20 odd points by the ref.
Why not making 2 divisions 12 teams in the fist division and second division will be Cheethas kings sunwolves jaguares force rebels however come 1st and 2 in division 2 will be promoted to division 1 and the last 2 team in division 1 will move too division 2
Big Boi you'd be the only one thinking that..... only unbeaten team.... and close out games the way a championship winning team does. Chiefs and hurricanes both guilty of going laterally when they should be straightening their play. Don't have the flair of either side, but when you have a sledgehammer tight 5 , not sure they need it.
rjmn1 Unbeaten with an Asterix nearly losing to the reds in Christchurch and getting blown out by the Blues and the highlanders is a joke. The Chiefs and the canes will steam roll these pretenders.
Good luck for the Stormers next season when Cheslin Kolbe is gone. Maybe steal a winger from one of the teams that are getting cut. #SignSergealOrMalcolmJaer
Mackem Slinger SP should be back. But kolbe will leave a huge gap on the wing. Only players on the roster that I can think of that will take his place are bassoon and zas.
Awesome. What makes me laugh is the skill levels from NZ, are in a different league. The little cute offloads, the skill is very good indeed. The Lions do not have that level of skill. They might think they do, but they do not. Where The Lions may cause NZ trouble though is if we get in an arm wrestle with them. If that happens, which is possible, then NZ could potentially come unstuck. That said, I am not expecting NZ to have a series loss, anything less than 3-0 victory is unacceptable as a Kiwi. Back to this game, Stormers, I remember when they use to be awesome side, not so long ago. What has happened with SA and Australian rugby, it is a real shame, and I hope that the Australians and South Africans can get back to where you should be which is in the top 3 ranked sides in the World. I have no doubt they will be back oneday, but I hope that this years Rugby Championship we see more from Oz and SA, I really do because I have much respect for them. As for England and The Lions, they can eat my poop as far as I am concerned. I have zero respect for English rugby and only just acknowledge The Lions.
You're right about that. Last year that did'nt stop the Chiefs annihilating the second string Welsh team, much to Gatlands' surprise. This years British and Irish Lions side looks exceptional both physically and mentally, but so too do the NZ sides. It'll be some brilliant rugby either way.
Good play the red and black at home...But kierons first try is bullshit he lost the ball forward and then put it down and they gave and typical new zealand bullshite and two trys the the ball went forward...
Not taking anything from the saders they deserve to win played some good rugby just saying need to flow their way because of the Ref, they could have won the game themselves without the help from the ref
Nope, Read's try was legit, definitely didn't lose it. The 3rd try looked like the long cut out pass was a meter forward but very hard to spot on field with long passes (in my experience), the other tries looked all good. I think the ref did ok. Easy to blame him for a poor display by your team but better to take it on the chin and hope your lads play better rugby next time.
