Lots of talk about the ruling on the forward pass. This is not well understood. The definition of a forward pass is: 'When a player throws or passes the ball forward i.e. if the arms of the player passing the ball move forward'. This means that the ball can go forward on the field and not be a forward pass. For instance, if a player is running forward at 20km/h and passes the ball and the ball moves forward on the field at 19km/h, then the pass is not forward. I don't really care who won, but the TMO plainly has this wrong.
b Yea, lots of people think that, but it’s just not the rule. Part of the problem here is that only 1 commentator in 1000 actually knows the rules. Most of them have absolutely no idea what the rules are. The first thing you learn when you’re training to be a referee is that rugby commentators have it all completely wrong, and that you have to ignore everything they say when you watch rugby. It’s been a real eye opener for me.
Stormers fan here but that's not a forward pass yes the ball drifts forward automatically because of the momentum of the carrier/passer so that's natural but as long as the hands are flat or backwards I think that's a good pass. Atleast that's how I understand it.
Only a try when its a NZ team passing it... By that measure the french scored a perfectly legal try againat the AB's in the world cup then. So stop cherry picking and just accept that sometimes you'll get the short end of the stick. For reference 1:37 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QUS8FfW8hOg.html

@@stratokastor is that how your logic works? 😂 Not just watching the vid and seeing the ball travel close to 5 meters forward? Please don't help your kids with homework.
My problem is that new Zealand teams get away with murder then we as south Africans complain and nothing happens, but now when our refs say something against them they want trouble. Go back and look at all the other lucky calls you guys got.
lol. allblack fans crying about the ref, talking about the ref but what about the first try, jantjies clearly played without the ball, should be penalty stormers, stop being bitter, stormers deserve to win actually
Sorry Maurice but Stormers did not deserve to win they weren't anywhere near better then crusaders if this game was referred properly you would have lost simple as that and it's not blame, it's the truth, there's a difference when it's a 50/50 call but when it's blatant bad officiating then have every right to be annoyed. Just for the record the match officials for this game were reprimanded by the referee board after this match due to mistakes. Which proves that the result was incorrect. More needs to be done about things like this especially when it can determine finals places etc.
