One thing I know for sure is that when I buy my used class a RV, I am finding you to do my inspection. You are the best on YT When it comes to repairs. Brian's RV is a close 2nd.
My old ass gasser has a metal roof..yay! Holds up to storms, solar panels, temperature gradients & low maintenance very well. Don’t have to worry about broken slide outs (none). Threw out the sofa & made an entertainment section w/55” elevator screen. Love that overhead bunk! ✌🏼
People like them for the price point, but then complain it is not as nice as a million dollar coach. Nice entry point coach, not a big Thor fan but glad they make something for the middle class to buy. Thanks for the video. Stay safe and healthy.
Really like this rig and floor plan. Interior is not low class materials, even though this is the entry level model! Engine is only 300 HP though I believe.
James thank you again I have the care free from Colorado awnings on my coach and I will immediately check those screws . Your inspections are very informative and appreciated.
We have a 2020 Thor Aria 3401-Have had many issues with it -we thought about trading it in for a New Mar New Aire because we like the 35 foot but in the New Aire Facebook group we see lots of big issues on those too-For now, the Aira is holding it’s own 🤷♀️💵
You still freak me out sometimes when you get to hanging over the roof edge. At least you arent messing with the soapy, slippery water at the same time
My 2021 Grand Design has 2 Carefree awnings on it... From Tucson AZ to Sun City AZ area.. half the motor end plastic cover of the front awning blew off. The parts are not too expensive from Carefree.
I know I said something about my awning on another awning video that you did the upgrade to an out of date awning. But this awning problem is exactly the way mine looks like so does it have a loaded end on it. Because the way this fell out of that spindle you didn’t hear any spring snap. So that’s what I was thinking with mine when I need to replace my awning is just disconnect the motor undo the screws that holds the cylinder slide the awning out slide the new one in reconnect everything and I’m good to go. Most of the RU-vid channels said that a 12 foot power awnings don’t come with loaded springs. You do have to use dry lubrication if not they Will hold dirt and dust and squeal like crazy.
Thors are mostly junk, but the Palazzo is pretty well built (I’m also an RV tech). Also, it’s one of the only pushers with a mid entry door. I always use rivets on awning tubes too.
If you don't already have one... you should just do a dedicated "Ultimate RV Sealant Guide": compatibility, applications, what not to do, how to apply (e.g., clean dicor with solvent...). Just a brain dump.
After two years of Thor ownership, I just concluded a deal to trade my 2016 Palazzo 35.1 off for a 2010 Tiffin 36QSH. I found the Palazzo to be poorly designed and of poor build quality. I spent more time working on it than using it. I was really afraid it wouldnt outlast me. Im 60 yrs old and have better confidence that this Tiffin will outlast me. A little more expense but its worth it.
I’m definitely going to ask you to do a full inspection on my purchase. I’m learning so much that I just wouldn’t have seen. Thank you again. I’m flying over from the United Kingdom in the spring to hopefully find my perfect motorhome and with your help I will feel safer for my safety and investment. How do I contact you?
Our Thor that we traded in had two deer whistles. They are guaranteed to stop deer from running out in front of you and you hitting them OR your money back. How about I get 20,000 people to send me $10 and I will give you the same guarantee? Get the point?
Wouldn't have one (Thor) their quality is definitely not there and another one you're paying too much for that level of quality or lack of. I've seen new ones wired weird made poorly. But I'm sure there may be one or two that got quality control attention others didn't. It's not just a Thor problem.
