2017 Toyota Fortuner vs Ford Endeavour 

I appreciate your effort to review the two cars. But guys I am from Michigan i am very sure that any diesel car with a good battery and a glow plug can start even at -30. It was very funny when you people were checking if a brand new car will start after a night on -25.

I have Ford F-150 2017. I stay in michigan united states. It gets -25 to -35 degrees here. I never ever needed to heat my engine up. Its a cold start engine. Never got any problems and i am really surprised to see Ford endeavor needing to heat up its engine. Quality of product in india is not good as compared to lot of other countries

Superb video. Fortuner is the best expedition SUV in India to get to these kind of remote places with no roads and difficult terrain. Good to see the Endeavour keeping up with the Fortuner.

DISADVANTAGES OF ENDEAVOUR : 1- It doesn't have push button start/stop like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like micra 2- It doesn't provide easy ingress to last row seats like in fortuner 3- It doesn't have cooled glove box like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like i-20 4- It doesn't provide sharp white coloured led head lamps like in fortuner 5- It's warranty period is 2 years while fortuner's warranty period is 3 years 6- Resale value is not so good as that of fortuner DISADVANTAGES OF FORTUNER : 1- It doesn't provide panoramic sunroof like in endeavour 2- It doesn't provide terrain management system like in endeavour 3- It doesn't provide semi auto parallel parking assist like in endeavour 4- It doesn't provide electrically foldable 3rd row seats like in endeavour 5- Endeavour has bigger & powerful engine i.e. 3.2 than fortuner i.e. 2.8 6- It doesn't provide tyre pressure monitoring system like in endeavour & xuv 500 7- Endeavour has both front & rear parking sensors whereas fortuner has only rear parking sensors 8- It doesn't provide rain sensing wipers like in endeavour 9- Endeavour has 10 speakers while fortuner has 6 speakers 10- Endeavour's tachometer is digital while fortuner's tachometer is analog 11- Endeavour is providing electric power steering while fortuner's steering is hydraulic 12- Endeavour is providing active noise cancellation feature while fortuner doesn't PRICING- Endeavour is expensive than fortuner with difference of Rs 50000/- approx CONCLUSION- Endeavour is better than Fortuner

I am not sure who opens up the hood to warm up the engine? That practically does nothing unless I am missing it. These modern technologically advanced cars are made to withstand pretty much any sort of temperature these days. I do agree with the fact that -25 Celsius (-13 F) is pretty darn cold and warming up the car by letting it run for few minutes & letting all the fluids flow would def help.

There is a Maruti Alto there... Now that is a value-for-money Offroader! Beat that Rs-40-lakh-luxury-SUV!

@9:58 While they are testing 30+ lakh lux suv.. we in himachal roll in good old alto.. & it has best of power to weight ratio.. with out any fancy Electronic Control system.. & for sure without chain tracks.. \m/

you guys missed one thing. the T fort has awesome all terrain Dunlops while the endeavor only makes do with mrf wanderers, which are nowhere near as good. put on Yokohama Geolander or a General Grabber, then the endeavor will shine.

at 10:00 the guys are thinking of how to start such big engine of these cars behind there's an alto with a simple 1000cc engine now that is what one could call reliability and faith

why can't u guys add some all terrian wheels to the endy???! That's ain't fair! The fortuner uses A/T dunlop wheels whereas the endy got some crappy MRFs!!!!! That's bad!

Which month you went there for this comparison as I like the feel of snow everywhere & I wish to go there in the same weather conditions. So please let me know so that I can plan my tour according to it

Endevour has a better rear diffential lock while fortuner has a better traction control.

From Toyota fortuner, this was expected. But to see endeavour to tackle these situations as easily as the fortuner was a really big thing because endeavour is 3.5 lac rupee cheaper than the fortuner and is also more loaded with gizmos. Overall the endeavour really surprised me and I wish to see more good cars coming ahead.

Fortuner price is 31.55 lakhs and endeavour priced 31.5 lakhs see on Autportal the playstore app but in these video it costs above 38 lakhs

I liked the videography and landscapes but your verdict was diplomatic. Like any hardcore SUV can handle this sort of situations and i think even tata hexa, XUV 500 and jeep compass can also handle these situations without fuss. The point is which is better of the two, is not cleared in the video.

endeavor is the clear winner over fortuner. fortuner sells more than endeavor because of toyota badge name and toyatas reliability and nothing else. even ford is also reliable now unlike before. but it will take time for people to trust Ford's reliability. another thing about fortuner is more prone to accident. if u break the fortuner in high speed it's turtle where as Endeavour no doubt it handles better.
