The new Toyota Wigo was launched earlier this year in the Philippines to the delight of those looking for an affordable city car. One look and you’ll see that while the overall size and appeal is the same, the new Wigo is now sportier looking. Under the hood is the same 1-liter engine but it’s now VVT-i, which promises better performance. Now there’s only so much you can learn from looking at the spec sheet, so Caco took it out for a drive.

Nakow top gear, walang kwenta basahin mo nalang brochure ng kotse kasi ganon na ganon sila mag review. Saka yung issue pa dati yung sa hyundai eon na akala mo detective na nag mislead sa isang tao na wala naman kinalaman. Hahahahaha top gear phil walang kwenta hahahaha

glad I saw several review on this car.... brought it last year around august and my fiancee is enjoying it within the city..... now, im planning to buy a family car 3 to 4 years from now and I just saw your review on the 2018 ford Everest titanium 4x4 around almost 2.3M..... My eyes are stuck on that for now, hopefully it will be more better in 3 to 4 years from now..... keep on reviewing cars guys.... Good job!

I typically dont care much about facelifts. But in this case I have to say, that Toyota managed to upgrade the exterior looks in a way, which make the Wigo appear less cheap.

How tall is the guy? He looked positively swimming in the back seats. Me and my kids, not so much. leg room is a premium for us since we range from 5'7" to 6"0". I would definitely buy this car because if it does what it was meant to so, that is all I ask for. I'm not a speed demon, nor a comfort freak. I like functionality, frugality and I am generally a minimalist. (and a cheapskate according to my wife). while I enjoy some comforts, I don't look for it. I like this car.

Was gifted a 2018 trd a/t recently and while driving noticed that there is audible "rumble" and when in a stop during traffic i can hear noise from the back too, what concerns me most tho is the acceleration, when i step on it sometimes there seems to be a delay and when on a steep it stops and then i hit gas again, should i have the dealer look into it again?new driver here and im comparing from our mazda 3 so i would really appreciate ur insight pls tia

same here. we bought our wigo as a 2nd car but it is good as new. we heard it when we first try it then as you go on you will notice that the "rumble" sound is gone. i notice that when it is idle for a long period of time then you use it thats the time you will hear it again.

The Eon is too small, and less accessorized...it doesn't have any airbags at all...plus the resale value of the Eon is very, very low...I opt you to get the Wigo....its spacious and comfortable

If you want more horsepower and space, get the jazz. If you only plan to use the car in-city, get the wigo. The wigo is pretty good at slotting through gaps other cars wouldn't fit in at traffic. The jazz, with its higher horsepower and torque, does better when you need to overtake longer vehicles (like 10 wheeler trucks) if you drive frequently at NLEX or SLEX. You can overtake trucks in the wigo but it'll take longer and you have to time the overtake carefully and commit to it.

Ravindu Dissanayake are you serious? I own Wigo G 2018. Lowest fuel consumption I have ever experienced is 20L from Ortigas to Monumento.

erickson zarate , I’ve seen in many reviews they say so. Are you are sure 20kms/l is within city limits. Plus this is not hybrid. So can’t expect any more than 18 - 19 km/l at most 🙂

How tall are you? When i test drove the wigo it was a bit of a tight fit at the back for me with the front seat adjusted to my height. My knee almost brushes the back of the front seat.

Caco's 5'5 so his driver's seat position is also nearer to the steering wheel than a taller person would. he did say that it's better off for average to below average sized Filipinos at the back.
