Max, the girl with the left prosthetic leg is Hitomi Kanamaru. She enters the picture at about 8:40 and is the flautist in the second to the last row closest to the camera. Imagine that she did all the choreography like everyone else. The fascinating thing about the band is that this is a student club. In Japan, students are only allowed to join one extracurricular club so baseball is a club, judo is a club, student council is a club, and yes, marching band is a club. The students run everything from music selection, choreography and scheduling and running practice. The advisor is usually a teacher, not necessarily a music teacher, just an adult to oversee activities. This is also part of the reason it is mostly girls. While boys usually join sports clubs, girls join band if they are not specifically athletic, although it really takes some athleticism with this band.

Believe it or not, The Band had to pay Disneyland to play this gig (Walt should be turning in his grave!) and the individual members had to stump up over $4,000 to make the trip!!! The Green Band Association, whom they were representing,puts on Benefit Concerts for Good Causes (victims of natural disasters and so on) and you should check out the Bandfest performance and the concert that the band gave on this trip it will have you laughing,crying and dancing too probably - I guarantee! Their Rose Parade performances in 2012 and 2018 just BLEW THE CROWD AWAY!
