The 2017 Wings Over Wayne Air Show at Seymour-Johnson AFB.
The United States Air Force Combined Arms Demonstration courtesy of the 4th Fighter Wing at Seymour-Johnson AFB. This demonstration consisted of F-15E Strike Eagle's as they wreck havoc over the field complete with pyrotechnics set by the Tora Tora Tora bomb squad. Participating along were the U.S. Army Special Ops Command Parachute Team known as the Black Daggers. Also there was a T-38 Talon as the simulated enemy bogey. Sorry I missed that flyby as I did not see them coming and I did not zoom in on time to capture that brief dogfight.

Imagine being engaged by two F-15s in a T-38/F-5 lol. You’d literally sh*t bricks. “Sweep the airfield of enemy aircraft” I’d be nowhere to be seen

Yep, it was a stand in for hostile air assets. It usually is for these. I have actually seen a MiG-17 used once, but it is usually the 38s.

You know what is funny? This takes place at an Air Force Base, yet the BLUE ANGLES are the big draw :) :) Surprised no one else notice this :)

Every other airshow they rotate the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. This year it's the Thunderbirds, April 27th and 28th. This same US Airshow had the Canadian CF-18 Demo too, look for that video, the paint job is awesome.

That is a T-38 Talon Advanced Trainer, Based off of the Northrop F-5 Tiger Light Fighter, it is a supersonic trainer commonly used to mock smaller, more agile adversaries along with advanced training for new pilots.
