Great video! Is there an oil life percent remaining display? You did not pre drain the oil filter housing. I think that is a waste of time too. Do you often find the oil filter housing over torqued? I have heard techs say they sometimes crack when they try to unscrew them . What brand of 0W 20 do you use? How many miles will it take to set the oil service light? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video but not torquing the parts is a bad idea. Lexus did my first oil change and I had to impact the filter housing off. It’s only 18lb ft should be simple to take off.
Read the owners manual..that's gonna tell you the exact amount. On the other hand, tell me if you did it like this, alright? you drained the oil, change the oil filter, poured the 5 qts? But did you start the car and let it idle for a minute? You know...so the oil go thru the filter. Let me know

If you don't know what are you doing please don't work on cars !!! there is a drain plug at the bottom of the filter for a reason, also with the new filter Lexus included a clear drain tube for a reason, also Lexus included a small o ring to seal the plug for a reason.
@@AxtuoAx you are saying it !! its a DRAIN PLUG !!! you open the cap and insert the drain pipe inside the filter housing to drain the filter body so you don't make a mess when you open the filter. you change the seals they are all included in the OEM filter.
@@Emeljay518 any mechanic at Lexus or Toyota dealer are idiots, the dealer want to work as many cars as they can to charge people, dealer is not the manufacturer, Toyota included the drain pipe in the filter box for a reason, its not cosmetic. do your home work people before you make a comment.
