Reminds me a lot of the mbrp street catback that I put on our 2019. Just made a road trip up your way in it from Tennessee and like you say about this one, there was no drone at highway speeds with the mbrp either. But when you get on it, it comes alive!
I like the plates. Zero fucks given. My plate is 5PTSLOH. (W was taken). The Borla S type sounds just like my Borla stingers on my 2003 Mach 1. My 2018 is still 100% stock.

I need help!! I'm trying to install this exact system I purchased from CJ a few days ago, I can't get the front adaptor pieces to fit into the factory exhaust couplers as shown at 2:05. I've tried spreading them to opening them more but it's not getting me anywhere. EDIT: Nvm, the adaptors in my kit were made too big by an 8th of an inch, the smaller ends were suppose to be 2 1/4" OD. A local muffler shop was able to make adaptors in the correct size, so worked out in the end.
S-TYPE ftw. Loud when u want it. I'm older tho (48)......I've dun the stupid loud. My 4.6 stingers sound faaaantastic. Different engine I get it, but Corsas and atak are stupid imo
Called Borla today and they told me their S-type cat-back will not fit the 2018 GT convertible due to its extra bracing on the rear suspension, and only axle-back is possible. He did say the x-pipe could also go on with axle-back, just not the in between pipes which are blocked by the convertible's brace near the rear axle. Not sure about Touring.
Will you guys review the stainless works catback? I haven't heard anyone mention it. I prefer a deeper sounding exhaust. It's kinda hard with these cars. Everyone goes for borla or corsa lol
98ws6m6cvert I been thinking the same thing. I want to check other options besides Borla and Corsa but haven’t seen any. I’m trying to figure out how kooks and stainless works catbacks compare to these in terms of loudness.
@@6ixspeedstang186 I believe it's just as loud. My only main concern is if the drone is bad. That's the main reason most go with borla or corsa. Too much drone is a deal breaker. I put up with it in my full bolt on camaro. Never again lol.

Sounds sweet! Slightly off topic Bill, but are you happy with the 18? I'm thinking about a 19 early next year, but shift forks, piston slap and other issues are making me nervous. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
DJ WARREN I have a 2018 GT pp1 with the manual and I have 22,000 miles and no problems. I run it hard, race it, bang gears, everything.... the only thing I will not do is clutch dumping burnouts and super hard launches. I race but mainly rolls. If I race from a dead stop I kind of ride the clutch slightly and not just dump it hard. Mine has held up very well. Remember for all the stories you see online, there’s are thousands that haven’t had that problem at all.
@@6ixspeedstang186 Thanks. I had a 16 manual trans GT. No problems. Think the new ones look great. All UK cars have performance package and digital dash. Guess I'll just buy one and if anything goes wrong Ford will sort it.
DJ WARREN I had a 17 manual before I traded and to be honest I’ll say if I already had the performance pack on my 17 i would have kept it and modded it. But since I only had the black accent package GT I wanted a performance pack and the rebates on brand new 18s were 6000 off price. So I traded to an 18.
My car has been fine, I haven't had any of the common issues except for occasional second gear lockout. I love the looks and performance of the 18 and don't regret the purchase at all.
Is there a benefit going with 3” pipes vs Ford performance 2.5”? If someone were to be keeping the car stock other then a cat-back and maybe air filter / tune? I get it’s more free flowing but does it retain proper back pressure? What about dyno numbers differences on stock engines? Thanks
3 inch cat back would be louder than a 2.5 inch axle back muffler Should be no HP difference at all if everything else is stock. I doubt Ford engineers left HP on the table with a restrictive exhaust.
Is a 3 in exhaust overkill on these cars if you aren't running a turbo or a supercharger??? it seems like every exhaust manufacturer is doing a 3 inch...I had a ton of fitment issues with managflows 3 inch exhaust on my 2013 boss 302....
Can't decide between this or the Borla S Type....... which one is "quiter" ??? They both sound amazing and I can't pull the trigger because it's a toss up

Happy Cupcake it’s not, you gotta hear it in person. I bought my atak off Craigslist and thought the same as you that it would be too raspy. Until I heard it in person. It’s not what it sounds like on camera. It’s a crisp clean rasp. Lots of back burbling when you let off the gas.
Would you guys consider doing some exhaust clips for off road exhaust. Cause I will be going off road and some that sounds amazing with cats sounds like complete shit when you go Catless. No one else does catless exhaust clips.
Is it possible to put this on a Mustang V6 2017. If so, what can I expect on doing for the car and is there any risks of damaging the car by using another specific exhaust
Borla offers this with an H-pipe in place of the X, do you think that will make the tone deeper? I've never heard in person and online can be hard to tell

This is meant for the 2018-2020 rear bumper. The roush diffuser sits a little higher so the exhaust will hang lower than it was meant to. It will work but doesn't look the best.
@@cjponyparts Hey guys, have you heard of this fun fact: Ford installs the wrong analog RPM gauge in the 2018+ Mustang GT's for the North American market and overseas (well, except for the US, who aren't affected by this issue). The rpm gauge they install for the GT V8 is actually from the 4-cylinder Ecoboost model so it has the incorrect 6500 rpm redline, where as the GT gauge is supposed to have a 7400 redline, like the US model. Ford has been installing the wrong part since it was first reported in late 2017, when the 2018 GT models started getting delivered to customers. The problem still hasn't been fixed and now the 2019 GT models also have the Ecoboost rpm gauge. Ridiculous. 🤔
@@vonwynns1758 Yeah, it's complete BS on Ford's part. I recently heard back from 'Ford Customer Care' and they completely admitted that all GT models with the KM/h speedometer also have the the Ecoboost rpm gauge (which has the displayed 6500 redline). 😡
