Shaking my head and all the comments saying this is ugly. I can't help but think the same people would love the bland styling of Audi SUVs. This is why we can't have nice things America...
John Davis....long time Alfisti !!! Bravo John...well done....this SUV is amazing....to drive it is all you need to do....Have cousin...long time Lexus and lately Porsche SUV owner....convinced him to test drive the Stelvio....Now he too, is an Alfisti....FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!
Good for Alfa I love this brand and I hope to see them succeed I had a 87 Alfa Romeo Milano that I adored unfortunate got in a bad car accident and totaled it. When I can afford to use one I'll have another in my driveway
Alot of bang for the buck but how is the reliability coming from a Honda i am weary i o ly had three car manufacturers my whole life ford nissan and honda and i keep my cars for at least 5 years im scared but i think I'll take that leap of faith (EDIT) 5/24/2021 I just purchased my Stelvio on 5/17/2021 it is such a great unique car !
Interior space and boot capacity are similar to its direct competitors as is its exterior size. X3, Q5, GLC, XC60 all have similar sizes. Which also reflects in the interior space and boot capacity. Exception for the Volvo that offers more interior space and less boot capacity.
It is the most fun suv I’ve driven. It’s not ugly that would be the latest rav4. If you want reliability, buy Japanese or Korean and nothing from Europe.
Awhh, what I'd give for a Giulia coupe. The biggest fault of a four-door on a small platform is the difficult ingress/egress from trying to squeeze into the small cavity between the A-pillar & B-pillar!!
I live in Chicago, the 3rd largest city in the country, and have yet to see one on the road and I drive all day for work, all over town. It seems to me that they (Alfa) haven't won over the public yet, time is a wastin'. I've heard the great lease deals only apply if you have a competing brand like BMW, MB or Audi, is this true? If so, it might be 1995 all over again...wake up guys and stop making it so hard for people willing to take a chance on YOU to get into YOUR rides!
Giulia has been on sale for a year and Stelvio for 4 months, it takes patience for a brand that has been absent from US for twenty years. A year ago Alfa Romeo sold in US 40, 50 cars a month, now it sells 1300 and is growing steadily.
I’ve seen 2 last month while in Dallas, I’m not surprise I always see Lambos, Ferrari’s when going thru there. Cause there’s a rich area right near this mall and the toll zone is their domain
Klasse Act it hasn't even been a full year that they've been in America haven't won the Americans over yet well of course no s*** it takes more time than a year
Ma Ss ...3rd largest city in the country and I drive all over it for work and have seen ONE Stelvio and a handful of Gullia's. Understand I love how they look but some at the top missed the mark on marketing, trust me. Watched an interview on Autoline a couple months ago and the head of Alfa NA said they weren't worried about Cadillac, just the German big 3, pure arrogance! Then my buddy went to look at the Guilia and the lease deals were only given to people owning cars from the German big 3, stupid! Do whatever you have to do to put ass' in those cars, period.
Nima Mojtahedzadeh simple; most Americans don't like cars. We typically like vehicles that ride higher than 5 in off the ground. To be fair, there is still a market for cars in the US, it just isn't as big as it used to be.
What about reliability? If your vehicle is in the shop all the time it really doesn't matter how nice it is or fast it goes when you're not driving it.
There's a lot of plastic used around the interior... that trim plate around the shifter is especially unbecoming of a product that aspires to compete with more established premium brands. What's more, MotorWeek is doing the buying public a huge disservice without at least mentioning Alfa's reliability record; they're known for unreliability as much as Toyota is known to be reliable.
Wow.....Toyota Reliable.....You've obviously never owned a Camry with head gasket problems (2018 was an especially terrible year for Toyota).....You've never owned an Alfa, you've never sat in an Alfa, you've never driven an Alfa...But you, yes you George Costanza, are an EXPERT ON ALFA RELIABILITY !!! Get a life Cramer.... EMBARRASSING !!!!
This is an evolution of the Giulia....Nothing to do with FCA....Giulia developed by Ferrari engineers...I'd be more worried about AUDI = VW lineage and crappy electronics or BMW fuel pumps self igniting for example...
Richie baby....Alfa's lineage = Ferrari....whereas Porsche + Audi = VW !!! I would worry about that lineage....Lies, deceit, and terrible electronics....
Steve Schultz. That's my point. after 30k warranty (with most car company) you're on your own. Most car problem/issue come on around 60k or more. it's better to stick with brands known for liability. I know What i'm talking about moron.
If I had to steal a car these days, i'd get in and have absofuckinglutely no idea what to do. I'll bet you can't even ram a police car with one of these shitboxes. ;)
FYI Loaded Honda CR-V's and Chevy Equinox's cost 35-40 grand and they don't come near the performance or socioeconomic status. People pay big money to be higher above the ground. I know, it's crazy. The Stelvio is actually a pretty good deal though 😜
Pretty much this. At 40K, this is a fantastic deal. The fit, finish, materials, and drive experience of this compared to the domestics is phenomenal considering it's not much more expensive.
Turbo you do realize that $40,000 for luxury SUV is incredibly low most domestic Buicks and Chevrolets including your Ford Explorer our way over that price, unless you haven't bought a new car since the 90s you might want to do your research
Another 8 speed slushbox powered crossover that nobody wanted, nor asked for. And at a $42,000 starting price, dont expect to see too many on the road. Thats a ludicrous amount of money to pay for something with less cargo room than your average luxury sedan. I will never understand why crossovers are a popular segment here.
Yeah, it boggles the mind. If you want to carry up to 4 people buy a sedan. For more buy a minivan If you want to feel like you're riding a bus from up high just ride the f***** bus
@@fgsaramago Yo Dawg...What up ? You're missing the point...many people live in bad weather climates and want ground clearance and AWD for SNOW DAWG !! You know what I'm sayin dawg ? A sedan ain't got that and a mini van is so 1970's dawg ....you know what I'm sayin dawg ? Stelvio dawg....it's the *HIT DAWG !!!
I hear you LRules....like I say that all the time about all those stupid BMW models... X 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5 1 Series 2 Series 3 Series 4 Series 5 Series WTF Series !! You know what I'm sayin DAWG ? BMW is answering the question that no body asked !!! FORZA ALFA BABY !!!! THE KING IS BACK !!!! DAWG !!!!
It does not drive as good as a sedan or coupe on the same platform with same power train etc. just not possible. Sorry bitch driving this you'll still loose in a race.
You're funny dawg....Have you seen the new "kidney" grills on BMWs....THEY HAVE BECOME LUNGS DAWG !!!! *UCKING LUNGS !!!! FORZA ALFA BABY !!!! THE KING IS BACK !!!!
