Ontario Andrews Well said. As for That one guy - please keep these coming, keep romping on these bikes give us an idea for what its like to ride them, thats what you did here! Awesome channel, sub'd!
Just got a 2023 on the red, white and blue yesterday. I’m female and this is my first motorcycle. I actually left the BMW dealer to go order an Indian. I had my husband turn around to go back for this one. This bike just felt so comfortable for me at 5’5.
I believe that the toggle for switching the gauge displays is actually ON the gauge. If I remember correctly it’s like on the back, right, top side of it (hopefully that made sense 😆)
Thanks for this video review of the G310R. I live in Sacramento and instantly recognized the BMW, Ducati, Triumph Dealership. I saw this video at the beginning of March and went to test ride the bike at the same dealership. I bought the bike for the wife a few days later.
Dude, that is awesome! It really is a solid choice as a first bike. I think it has just enough pep, and fun factor to keep you happy for a while. Hope she's enjoying it! 🤓
I was waiting for the release of the cb300r from honda but their feet dragging cost them a sale. I am deliberately downsizing for an about town cruiser and this fits the bill. I have plenty of larger bike's I still use but this bike has my attention. That's the fun part of having 35 yrs of riding under you. The value of this single cyl is lost on the hair on fire crowd while we just smile at them and listen to tales of heroics just like we did to our older riders.
I know, right. I sat on the new CB300R at a motorcycle show back in January. Nice bike. My only issue I have is that they again do not offer a gear indicator. I don't know why Honda seems to hate them. Their CB500R doesn't have one either. At least not their 2017 model. Anyway, their competition; G310R and KTM 390 Duke have a gear indicator and I just know it can't add that much more to the cost. And I don't understand why they have it listed on their website and yet it's not slated for release until July I think.
Hello bro! Im from the Philippines i bought this bike 2nd hand, at first glance i thought that this isnt as agile as its competetior but it blew me away 😂😂
The explanation for standard ABS is simple, since BMW and this motorcycle was Euro4 complainant back in 2018 that means that it was mandatory to feature ABS, you cannot sell a motorcycle without ABS anywhere in the European Union territory so I guess it was cheaper to produce all motorcycles with ABS than to give an option for ABS for Americas. Guess since the EURO5 features always on running light the 2021 versions will come with always on running lights if they didn't included that already
Great review. As someone who lives in South East Asia, IDK how can you guys ride without filtering. Seems boring to sit behind other cars while at the traffic light LOL
Yeah, I've never been on a test ride where they will let you filter lanes. I do it a lot when there are long lines at stoplights, but I am really cautious about it when traffic is moving. I love hearing comments from international viewers, so thanks for chiming in!
You're welcome. Our test rides here usually lets us off on our own. And we filter the lanes all the time. left, right, city road, motorway, anywhere we can fit the bike through, we'll squeeze in. anything to keep the bike momentum going LOL (coz it's freakin hot). Hence why underbones and mopeds are plenty here.
i got this as a loan bike while my R1200 was being serviced. I hated it and rang its neck to get anywhere remotely quick. There be others i pick first for a new rider as noted price wise.
TBF, going from your R1200 to any ~300cc standard bike is going to be underwhelming. But, I would agree, for the $$ you can find a better value bike, and likely one that would out-perform the G 310 R.
We're a little ways out from getting a bike for my lady, but this is a great option. It's not overwhelming for a new rider, but not so weak that you'll get bored in a couple months.
Yeah, that first stall was more me just not used to the clutch, yet. I didn't have trouble after that, but I can see where you're coming from. I got my info from an article on Cycleworld: www.cycleworld.com/2018-bmw-g310r-naked-motorcycle-first-ride-review
guys what do you think? BMW G310R or the HONDA CB300R? they quoted me. $6025 = honda, $6250 = BMW. These are out the door prices. I know I can buy a HAYABUSA or whatever bike in the used market for these kind of money but I don't care I want them new. Please help me decide.
I'm the same way with cars now. We got burnt bad on a used car, and we needed some peace of mind when we bought our car new a couple years ago. I really don't think you can go wrong with either of these bikes, and the price difference is pretty negligible. I'd say go with the bike that speaks to you more, or comes in the color you want, or has more ability to make mods. I guess what I'm saying is this is more personal preference than anything else, so good luck!
Thanks! They're the RSD Dezel gloves, and I love them. I did a review on them, if you're interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bABa25XHOK4.html
Hey thanks for the review. I have a question, please can you tell that how are the vibrations on high speeds like 75 mph and above, like will it make the rider uncomfortable to ride or are they just fine?
I think so. Of course, you'll want to sit on it, or take one out if you're considering, but yeah, I think someone 6 feet tall could ride the 310 comfortably.
It depends on what the end use will be. If it's for in town use, no interstate, then Grom/Z125 for the win. Otherwise I'd look at any of the sport bikes in the 250 to 400 cc range, preferably second hand for $3k or less.
love the review! Watched it twice. Do you think i'd be able to touch the ground on this if i'm 5'0? I've sat on an Bellini TNT 135 and I could nearly flat foot.
Right now, BMW (here in NorCal) has a $500 off promotion (or 0% financing for up to 60 mo), but I think there are better deals around the biggest holidays. The end of the year one, was better, and there'll probably be another big one around Memorial Day. You just have to keep an ear to the ground. In my experience, If you're comfortable with giving a dealer your contact info, they can likely give you a heads-up when a promotion is coming.
Why people are soo obsessed over where this bike is being made..? If you associate india with poor quality products then may god help you😂 Just looks around you mate.. Indians are the major players in automobile industry.. either they own big companies like jaguar, land rover, northen, royal enfield, jawa etc or they have big stakes in companies like KTM, BMW, TRIUMPH, JEEP, MERCEDES BENZ. Better save those "quality control" crap for chinese
