The hybrid misinformation lies more with the owner for not giving you correct information. If someone is going to offer up their car to be reviewed they need to know at least the basics about the car.

B58 is all about two words. Closed decklid. The N54 and 55 were making like 700whp on stock internals with a big single turbo and E85. Beyond that the block started being an issue with it's open decklid design. That'll no longer be an issue with the closed decklid, so once the aftermarket gets to work on these, oof. The B58 will become the closest thing to a modern 2J really.

New Supra's owners aren't going to use their indicators...

Can confirm the auto highbeam works amazing. Use it on my 235 whenever I'm night driving in the countryside. Also the rear sparkplug is pretty easy, that plastic cowl comes off with 5 bolts.

I reviewed one of these in the ZF 8 speed as well. Beautiful car with a smooth, fast ride. Great daily driver especially with the xdrive. Get the I drive though for some sideways fun

I drove one of these before and all of a sudden my 335i feels like an aircraft carrier compared to this.

I think the BMW efficient dynamics is similar to the eTorque from RAM. It helps save a few MPG in city driving during stop and go traffic.

0:19 the Supra isn't as pigfat as they say when it's parked next to a modern "small" car.

yes! finally reviewed my car! I just got one of these in November. The engine is amazing. The whole car is a real bargin. Also, can confirm all his Jokes are accurate.

I own an M240i non xdrive. It's a blast to drive. It doesn't have all the fancy soft closing doors, power trunk, head up display like my BMW 550i but in return it's super light and tossable; a true driver's car.

Mad Katz controllers? Close enough to the real thing? Jeez, someone hasn't seen the crap Mad Katz put out these days.

Mr. Regular, one of the best wrap up analogies you've done. Kudos and thanks! But the truth about modern BMWs, any one of them is this - put aside $2-3.5k year beyond the maintenance and tire replacement if you own after it's warranty expires. They're not engineered to withstand normal use without large sums of money to keep them running.

The cowl over the engine is just a plastic cover. Same on my E90. Changing the plugs and coils took me an hour, and 3 tools.

I would love to see Rcr do a video on the Honda CR-Z because it is somewhat sporty and a true hybrid.

Supra fanboys are too close-minded, and put the MK4 on a pedestal, holding it to an impossible standard. Ridiculous seeing as most have never driven let alone owned a Supra. This Supra is going to be great

Mr. Regular, thanks for this video. I enjoyed it. We all make mistakes. I'm a restaurant server by profession and I've woken up in the middle of the night stressed out and remembering that I had forgotten to bring a side of ranch to table 53 ... The lady who ordered it probably missed it, but she didn't care enough to ask me a second time, and here I am at 3am in cold sweat worrying about something insignificant. Acknowledgement of failure is important, but thankfully in our business of entertainment (videos, serving food and alcohol, etc) it's not something to get bent out of shape about. My customer didn't die of ranch dressing withdrawal. I don't think any RCR fans will jump off a bridge because you misspoke about the car being a hybrid. (If you are going to jump off a bridge, make sure to wear a bungee cord).

Auto highbeams are pretty good nowadays. The auto highs on my 2014 minivan work great

You make me feel like I made a mistake buying an e36 M3 as a daily in Erie, PA recently. And I did it because the newer bmw product I owned R56 Mini, scared me on the cost of maintenance front. I also like the rawness of an e36.
