sparcofrank my 3.0 csa is being restored. The a stands for automatic.... it’s getting a 5 speed box from a 1980s 5 series. In addition the twin solex carbs are being replaced by triple twin choke Weber’s. Head skimmed, all ported and polished etc plus mild cam - it will sound good. it will be fun. Google or search you tube for stancewerks 2800cs, very cool. I Also own a 2002 Baur cabriolet - a ‘roundie’ (it has the round rear lights) which is coming to end of total 3 year rebuild. I have other cars, though holy grail for me is e30 m3 sport evo. In (UK) they are priced at £140k!

THEND Generally speaking, as you may already know- BMW does not certify B7s. However, there are a select few aftermarket options for warranting the car, although many of these aftermarket warranty companies have changed their policies within the past year or so to EXCLUDE the B7. That being said, there are some out there - albeit EXTREMELY rare - that were some of the initial B7s to have had a previous owner who ponied up and purchased the extended warranty (to 6 yrs or 100k miles, for example) while the car was within the standard warranty period, and before the aftermarket companies (often promoted at BMW dealerships) started to exclude them.

King Bensley , So are they covered in North America? I haven't found anything saying so. I currently paid $4200 to extend my wife's M3 warranty. Bullshit if you ask me. I got a whole$300 off for being a loyal customer. Lol. I won't Own one without warranty. Nobody should.

I will never again purchase warranty from BMW again. More than likely just buy a new car, or a different car. I really love BMW, but their warranty crap is a head ache.

I'll tell you to drive a Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Mazda, Subaru, etc. and find out what I'm talking about. Their cars are getting better and better, with great solidity, refinement and technology, yet still managing to retain affordability, while BMWs are going the opposite direction, gradually cheapening and making their cars feel less special and more ordinary, yet they're as expensive as ever, and your zeal is allowing it. BMW drivers have been rendered down to people who can't even tell what wheels drive their cars. They've become nothing more than badge whores. I'm telling you this as a former BMW owner.

I kinda agree. The X3, X5, X6 were plenty. I believe they are making a X7 also in 2019, or 2020. Which actually looks really nice. A Super luxury model.

THEND There's also the BMW X1 and X4, and possibly a X8 on the way.

Basically an X1, but it's smaller, more expensive, even less capable, and it's called a "coupe", even though it's basically a 5 door hatchback, with ugly SUV body cladding. Honestly, this car is just insulting.

A Mazda CX9 fully loaded comes with more features and is 10k less. Shit it even has rear heated seats.
