2018 BOGNER ECSTACY RED AND BLUE OD'S! Demo by Pete Thorn 

It is perplexing and a total joy to see and hear Pete dish out amazing guitar riffs and solos worthy of hit platinum records in his humbled RU-vid review videos. We are really lucky and spoiled Pete continues doing this on a regular basis for our enjoyment. Rock on dude! 🎸🤘😎

I am very late to the Bogner party, but I snagged both of these pedals recently and really love them. I have tried A LOT of dirt pedals, and while "amp-like" is overused, it works on these pedals. Probably a better way of describing what makes these pedals amp-like is the higher-order harmonics they create. I think I may have just used another cliche term, but these, especially the red, have an upper-midrange brightness that is very satisfying because it accentuates your picking and helps chords sound articulate (i.e., you can hear each string). The cool thing about the red one is that its gain switch is very prominent, meaning you can go from a nice crunch to searing metal and lead tones with a flick of a switch. The guitar's volume pot also has a big effect. In any event, these pedals aren't very expensive anymore, so if you want to try one, go snag one. I will note that the power input is in an annoying location and your power cable cannot have too fat a "neck" because the power input things are a bit recessed. OK, I'm done with my long comment on a 4-year-old video 😂

The blue pedal is all you'll need. It does everything well. From SRV clean to near hi-gain. Love this pedal.

I have purchased a few pedals on the back of these reviews and some have been great and others...well, I don't play like Pete who could make a shoe box with strings sound awesome. I must be getting old cuz over the last few years I've really been into lower gain overdrive pedals. To me, lower gain pedals are so much more versatile. You can use them for most rhythm work and leads too when you stack 'em with other low gain pedals. Thus...I dig the blue one! Thanks Pete!

I spent a few days with my friends blue pedal and really liked it as well. The red is a bit dark for me. Great playing by the way Pete, you are truly a guitar master!

Yea fell in luv with the Blue, and your skills make it shine! Hope some day to have even half the skills at playing guitar as you have! and the way you can keep playing and adjust the pedal using both hands at the same time is just showing off! *8)

Great demo Pete, as always. I bought the Red mini and compared it against the original Red-pedal. Mini seems to have more gain and bass no matter how I dial it. Lack of mode and structure -switches is a major minus fo me. They were the soul of the original pedal.

It's between the La Grange and the Blue... I bought the red one awhile back for a hard rock band I was in at the time., haven't used it since. I'm using my early 80s Boss Super OverDrive in the meantime

Hi Pete, great demos and original compositions as always. You also demo'd the original full-sized blue and red ecstasy pedals which have the plexi switch (blue) and the 101B/100B/20th switch (red). Since the mini blue and red do not have the switches, are they capable of getting the tones from these switches like on the original pedals? Thanks so much!

Hey man I noticed u used that suhr Bella amp to demo the the fried man pedals as well and I am curious about the output section on that amp are they 6 l 6 6 v6 horry el34 tubes. I'm curious because I own fender and Marshall amplifiers and I'm wondering what is a good match for these pedals? Basically I'm looking for a high-quality pedal that works well with a 6 l 6 output section like in a fender twin

Hello I need a recommendation to buy an overdrive, I am undecided between this pedal (ecstasy blue) or the bb Preamp xotic, I am looking for something transparent that sounds defined, that sounds good in the clean channel and that also heats the tubes of my tube amp when want to use the overdrive channel. Apart from being versatile, what pedal would you advise me?

Can someone who bought the pedal please tell me how to use the mid sweep on the back? I can't for the life of me figure it out.
