I consider myself an above average home/ shade tree mechanic. I have a decent garage with really nice tools. I’ve watched other videos about this job and they left me with questions. No AC and temperature gauge at 0 and power steering assist message yes it fixed it. Hardest part of the job is having the right tool or socket to get it out and a little tiny hook tool to get the red tab to pull up to get the connection off. Also you need to clear the codes when done to get the check engine light off.
Hello, I have the same problem, but the fans are always running and the temperature indicator is not reading, and when I scan the codes with the scanner, the situation returns to normal. Is the problem with the temperature sensor or with the temperature valve?
This error must be wiring error. My car changed radiator, thermostat…. Bit it still happens. If the error coming from a hardware like the thermostat, I won’t be reset right away in seconds with a code reader. Cadillac should address it ASAP.
This has been a known problem since May of 2017. A bulletin was distributed to dealerships because dealerships were replacing steering systems to solve the warning message. The bulletin stated not to replace steering system but did not address the assist warning issue. Some car companies think is cheaper to anger the customer and chance a recall then correct bad designs..
This damn car will be the death of my sanity. Did the new sensor fix the issue? Our car seems to have intermittent electrical gremlins and its driving me to drink...
Great gotta take the Effin Intake off to change the front 3 spark plugs. Jesus Effin Christ, I hope the Engineers that designed this, get run over by XT5s. When any of these sensor need changing, I'll just trade the Vehicle, easier and likely Cheaper
