@@WilliamBottka hey they finished less than 4 hundredths of a point out of 3rd, and coats and devils were just better than everyone else. I still loved their show
@@itstacotime5566 I actually had to give band up im now homeschooled and not only because of covid I miss band I hope u have a good time though if you have any vids up on youtube of you or your band playing ill watch
Tubas are the true heroes here.. i have no idea how they trained them to hold their instruments in that weird position like that while moving but it is definitely impressive
they're contrabass bugles, or contras, otherwise known as 'marching tubas.' they're not exactly trained to hold them awkwardly because they're not made to be held any other way. their use is like 80% in drum corps and the only real challenge of moving with them is that they're heavy
Tuba/Contra player here, albeit a bit late. Holding it like that isn’t actually too difficult. Jumping around with it like that is the hard part, since it hurts your wrist a good bit, but overall it isn’t too bad, just takes a bit of getting used to
GOD DAMN the percussion goes from so tasteful to so hype so quick. I love when the drill splits up for them and then fluidly goes back to unison its so nice. What a good year to march Crown Battery damn
The trombone feature for Blow it up Start again was literally the only way I could get my band director to watch this. He was trombone and is absolutely in love with the song
Darn; I really wanted to see the clip at 1:41 from the other angle, so you can see the catch of the rifle and a dance soloist over there. It was a cool over arching shot, but still :(
Ok but they literally used their props once. It just made me so mad watching this and waiting for something interesting to happen and then nothing came...
And it doesn’t help that their massive boat prop was an obvious knock-off of Diavolo Dance Theatre’s Trajectoire piece, which just so happened to be in the finals of AGT the year before 👀
They do have a crown set, they have just changed it to look more... tribal? idk how to put it, but it's the second to last set right before they make the beast in the very end.
^ As that guy said, they had a crown set in the ballad that reflected the shakos they were wearing. The ensemble of female brass members were wearing orange so they formed the orange tail.
They had the fangs thing in the beginning and the jester hat at the end of the ballad. The crowns appear to relate to the show now, as last year the two crowns that appeared had triangles, which coincided with the show “It Is” and the triangles for the brass/percussion feature.
Am I the only one not amazed by this years show ? I didn’t feel a part of the music like 2019 and 2017, it’s just missing something through the whole show and I can’t seem to put my finger on it. Don’t get me wrong, they played the heck out of this show, however, 2019 just stood out so much more and the crowd was on fire in finals.
Galactic Bleachman its because its the only good part of this incredibly mediocre show by crown, no hate to the talented performer but the uniforms, music, and show design were all not that good
Is it just me, or does this give off massive Lost Boys energy? Specifically the lost boys as portrayed in Hook. Like, the costumes, the boat prop, the choreography feels like a bunch of rambunctious boys who never grew up.
