A week with the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 was life changing for us. We totally get this whole pickup truck thing now. The ZR2 isn't just any old truck, but the off-road variant of Chevy's very popular mid-size Colorado. Think of the ZR2 as a smaller Ford F-150 Raptor that's still plenty of fun to toss around. Powered by a 3.6-liter V6 with 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, the ZR2 rides on a set of 31-inch all-terrain tires and comes with plenty of exterior modifications to separate it from the lower level Colorados. Examples include skid plates, leaf springs out back, an upgraded suspension, new dampers, and that big hood bulge. There's also wider plastic trim around the wheels. One look at the ZR2 and you can tell it wants to play. Who are we not to oblige?
