Ehhhh not to much. GM absolutely killed that car with the way its geared in the transmission and no power. The c6 is faster and has a way better geared transmission that keeps you more in the power band. This grandsport looked like it did not have the aero package. Cant imagine how bad it would be with it.

Hey you guys should consider getting a dragy too, so you can measure 0-60 60-130, 1/2mile speeds ect. 0-60 is irrelevant on this surface but 60-130 and half mile speeds tell a good story 👍🏻

comparison 620 hp Ferrari 325 kmp/h 460 hp corvette 290 kmp/h. Very normal. Not bad. Easy 310 kmp/h Cammed version .In the current video, 2011 model 610 hp zZ06 323 kmp/h

It would have better top speed with an auto because it stays in the power ban and with the 7 speed manual when u shift in 5th with the 7 speed the rpm drops big time and loses the power ban

If you remove the aero It will be a little faster. On my c7 grandsport the aero slows it a little bit for straight line speed

It says wind speed 0.00, but at the end when the corvette drives buy you can hear wind. Cool vid though!

You can squeeze 185ish out of this car. The car in the video has stage 2 front aero, stage 1 side skirts and rear. Remove what seems to be an after market front stage 2 and it would post a higher top speed. How many amateur racers need this top speed on a normal track. The fastest of tracks for stock cars are maybe 150-170, unless you are professional and then the stock car is obsolete.

The C6 ZO6 had 505 bhp and would north of 195mph. It is lighter, has more power and a better coefficient of drag (less downforce) than a C7 Grand Sport.

impressive car..my only gripe is perhaps is ,perhaps, stock upper gear ratios are tad too tall. It might have got "up there" quicker maybe? But,hell,i love c7 grand sport/manual.In a straight line,not a road-course, my 2013 my 7 speed pdk 911S feels as quick or quicker.closer gearing for sure.(,No it,s not a Porsche vs vette thing,loved my c6 vette and wanted a c7...but when they came out ,tad too many build quality stories made me nervous...)

180 mph ,1950's technology 👽 , AutoZone supported, pump gas using, Kentucky built , fruit cart suspension having ,American 🤘🏾 sports car. It's not the C8's middle engine placement that has me marveling at the innovation.. for me it's the amazing coil spring design. Simply amazing. GM should challenge Mercedes in F-1, with these masterpieces of automotive technology. DAS looks like a children's sketch next to this milestone in automotive history.

It's the grand sport people. Know your corvette trims otherwise you look like an idiot. It is the base corvette engine. Not the 650hp Z06 or 700+ hp ZR1

I have a 2019 automatic stingray stock and the fastest I’ve been is 172 but it gets there a lot quicker. This manual really struggled with the shifts and also after 150 it was really struggling. Supposedly it should reach 186. And for a $52k car it’s pretty crazy.

Z06?? This is a c7. Also this is the base model not the Z07 which should have a supercharger. And 181 mph sounds downright slow for a car with 650 hp the Z07 has even with that aero it should be 185+ mph.

Gerry Pocha claimed 180 it was never confirmed, it might can do 180 but if it’s takes 3+ miles is pretty much useless, most manufacturers use 2km or 1.7miles to determine topspeed and it’s more than likely only full throttle for 1.5kms
