@@wheathinzz I suggest going with a BDS lift kit. Much better engineered than rough country. I think you pay a bit more but it’s worth it.

Hell yes that lift is bad ass especially on a Silverado. Remember you have to get a alignment on all trucks lifted.

I just put a Superlift 8inch lift on my 2010 Chevrolet white diamond edition and black fuel 20×12 rims and 35 inch Nitto Grapplers. Once those Nittos turn fast enough to clean the mud out the truck launches .truck looks awesome.

I have a 14 Silverado with a 7- 7 1/2 inch lift. Tell your friend to get the traction bars from Rough Country. They are so worth it. Plus a safety for the rear end as well

@@travis4308 Not a chance you’re getting a decent version for $2k. If you compare the same condition and mileage they end up pretty similar with the final price. And before you say it, I’m not loyal to any brand like most weirdo truck guys. I’m looking at buying a new truck and seeing a ton of used trucks lately I can tell you fords are for sure not way cheaper than other trucks.

I have a 2017 Silverado. Same truck in white. This is the exact build I want on mine! Would you suggest upgrading UCA’s with the wheel and tire size? I know Rough Country doesn’t replace many stock parts with the 7 inch lift.

Gapping spark plugs on a diesel is really easy when you know what you're doing. What's difficult is the fratostat.

I also have a 2018 Silverado. I just did an Add-a-Leaf, which raised the rear 1½" and new Rough country rear shocks. I also did Bilstein 5100's front shock that added 1⅞" lift (and a ½" top spacer). Can I raise it all a couple more inches without messing with other components, life the front dif?

How's it going, JD? That was a big job, but y'all hung in there. I can relate to that one part of the video where it finally hit you how much was involved. You worked on it all day and it's like the pile of parts got bigger instead of smaller.😩 The end result was worth the effort though. Sean's truck looks pretty badass now.💪😎 I think he needs some fender flares now to protect that slick, black paint. I love when you told him about the tire stickers... he looked genuinely concerned, like oh shit, I may have really ferked up bigtime.😂 I have mixed feelings about that. They should be removed before balancing, but if they aren't, I agree... it's your duty to burn 'em off.💨 One last thing - JD Slow GT500. 😅 Watch out, Sean! I see some retaliation coming in your future. Y'all enjoy the rest of your weekend.✌

Use masking tape over the drive shaft caps all the way around. This way your caps stay on.. needle bearings are a pain to pick up.

I've also got a 2018 Silverado. Love it. Just had some larger tires put on, but just big enough to not need a lift kit. It's possible I do a lift in a year or two, but it would only be a couple inches probably. Don't really want that large lift. This looks pretty great though.

@@isidrofacchini3978 the original tires were 265/70/R17. I put on 285/70 on a 17x9½" rim, with a -10 offset. The new ones are 2" taller, and bumped out 1½". I also swapped my my front shocks for a 2½" lift and added a rear leaf for a 1½" lift. It's a little closer to level, but still a bit higher in the rear.

I couldn't agree with Sean more about the stickers lol. Looks like crap if you leave them on. I worked at Dunn Tires for 3+yrs and that was one of my biggest pet peeves.
