I just wanted to say 'Thank You'. I had installed a dash cam and had inadvertently forgot to reinstall the body control module fuse. My remote start and my windshield washer pump were not working. I saw your video and went straight to my truck. The fuse was missing. I installed the fuse and whala! Everything works again.
WOW!!! Maybe this is my issue. I have to check when I get off work. Before I installed an auxiliary battery, I used a fuse tap on the BCM fuse for my dashcam. I know I reinstalled it, but it's possible it's blown or something because my remote start isn't working and my washer fluid pump isn't working right now.
Yep. That was the fuse. It wasn't blown, but one or both of the fuse blades weren't making good contact for some reason. I wiggled the fuse up and down and my washer fluid pump and remote start started working.
I had an odd issues the other day. My windshield wipers were running. It’s been raining off an on and stopped raining for a bit. So motor was dragging blades iver dry windshield. Both wipers stopped working for about 3 minutes. I shut the vehicle down, started it. Couldn’t get it working and messed with the wiper controls. They started working again on their own. What could be the issue? Overheat? Motor on the way out?
Has anyone encountered the wipers sweep one time when turning the key to the accessory or on position. 2017 Silverado only sweeps once, but does not return to the rest position. Seems to return to the intermittent on position. Have changed the wiper multifunction switch, checked fuses. Not sure what to check next but trying to check everything before looking into the BCM. Update: Problem was the fuse block in the engine compartment. Replaced the fuse block and problem solved.
The same thing is happening to my truck. I have read where replacing the whole fuse box, fixes it, but I haven’t tried that yet. Very annoying to have the wipers come on every time you turn the key on.
I have a 2016 silverado the wipers dont work, And i already checked all 4 fuses they are good, replaced the motor and switch they still no work.. please help!! And thank you!!
@@TheGonzalez1992 I guess no one knows lol might be a short in the wires tbh. I put a fuse in it for the washer fluid motor and as soon as I went to spray the fluid it popped. I put a bigger fuse in it and popped again.
Had the same problem it was my pump that went bad I used a power probe to put power directly to the washer fuse and the pump just clicked but would not spray i removed the pump and tested the pump and found it was no spinning , did the same with a new pump and it worked flawlessly
Question! Will replacing these fuses help with the power that the fluid is being sprayed out? I may have missed that. My issue is that the fluid is barely being sprayed out strong enough to make it 1/4 up my windshield, used to be strong as ever but the past year it’s been pretty weak! Thanks!
Windshield washer not dispensing washer fluid. The reservoir is full. The pump is working. Nozzel is not clogged. Wiper blades do oscillate. What do you suggest I do to further troubleshoot?
@@tylerwalls2190 I removed the reservoir and pump, replaced the pump and it worked just fine. I would put money that your windshield washer fluid pump is just bad. Its a super cheap repair, do it yourself
Good video, but I have to laugh. You say don't scratch any of that up and then use the worst tool ever instead of something plastic to hack in to the cover! Anyways, My 2017 Silverado, the squirters stopped working. I used a probe type 12 volt tester light and touch it to the fuse #54 under the hood, and there is no power on either side of the fuse. If the fuse is good, touching both sides will light up the tester and if the fuse is bad only one side will light up the tester. ( they make them that way so you don't have to pull each fuse out one by one) I also checked the bcm fuse and it is good. (the 10 amp one to the left of the steering wheel). The wipers work, but no noise from the squirter pump. Oh well, Thanks. At least you gave me some insight. I didn't know you had to check the bcm fuse too.
@@robertchoate8990 I had this issue but it was because I had removed the fuse to install a dash cam. I forgot to put the fuse back in. Body Control Module 2 fuse.
Parabrisas de chevy silverado 6.6 no me trabaja y todo los vusibles están bien y el motor también está bien que mas problemas es alguien que me essplique
