Mary, WOW!! I will admit I was skeptical about the simple Christmas decorating, I love Christmas, it has always been my favorite time of year (if we could go from summer to fall to Christmas straight to spring I would be a happy camper!) - I love the decorating, time of togetherness & peace we seem to find, the giving, family, and happiness, but Christmas Day is always kind of sad, I know it all comes to an end. Your home is so warm & I love how you have brought so much of the outside in! Your tree is absolutely amazing, truly an inspiration! I love the pops of reds, though not to bright, blending just perfectly with the greens, and the whites & silvers. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! It gives such a warm, inviting Christmas feel. Again this is something I never would have thought I would have liked, but is definitely something I want to try in the future. I love to see all the different ways people decorate, I’m not one for the eloquence Christmas style - I think it’s absolutely beautiful but it’s not for me personally, I just have always loved more personal touch’s. My family has lived on a farm for generations on my mothers side & when we lived in Denver, CO we had a cabin in the mountains growing up. We have always had farm house & cabin decor in our home, some going back to my great grandparents (things were made so much better then!), it hasn’t always been in style, but my family told me & my brother how precious these things are, where they came from. We have always loved and appreciated them, So thank you for showing me ways to finally style them in our home. I hope you have a blessed Christmas, Mary. Your Christmas decorations are kind of like a treasure hunt. The touches are subtle so at a quick glance, some things might be missed, but Christmas is really everywhere in those rooms! Bet people notice more, the more time they spend there. Beautiful job! Love that you haven't forgotten the reason for the season. Love the Joy to the World pillow with the deep red print.

Everything is so simple and festive Mary! Love all the touches of real greenery throughout. Adding the strips of wood to hide the hollow part of the door was so farmhouse-creative!

I am fortunate to live next to a lot of pine trees, not quite like your firs, but pretty none-the-less and I have taken some good tips from you to implement this year.
