Motorcraft 75W-85
Motorcraft Friction Modifier XL-3
Mag-Hytec Gaskets for 2015-present gasket
PS..will update if the Mag Hytec gasket was worth it or if it leaks..

Just did mine ass well. Good video, for anyone else planning to do it. Lower your spare tire , and clean the inside with brake fluid and an air compressor to make sure all metal shavings come out. The plug on the fill hole is magnetic so clean it as well

If you have a E locker diff you do not need the friction modifier.

You don’t need friction modifier in F150 8.8. They are not LSD, the 8.8 in the mustang is so people get confused. Unless you put an LSD in, you don’t need friction modifier in the F150.

Also, what were the torque specs on the rear diff bolts?

My best time stock is 14.1 with stock 20 platinum wheels. I don’t know the specs off the top of my head, but i can look up the service manual at work.

i just bought this gasket after having to use rtv and it leaked, i tried to get a gasket but got the wrong one from the parts store, so after spending over a $100 on fluid i gotta do it again. is this gasket still holding?

Yes it is, I recommend it!! No leaks and its reusable.

Permatex the right stuff is the best product if not using the gasket.
