All the Andertons players are excellent, but Ariel, Pete, and Mick are the top three, for me. Ariel and Pete is my favorite pairing: they always make me want to go pick up my guitar.
What can I say Pete? You and the Aqua 335 look and sound great together. Tasteful bends, and you let the brightness come through, illuminating the MHS pickups. Well done and thanks.
@@markmcmullan1976 Go try....I'm sure you will be tempted. That's a good price if it's in good nick. I'm pretty traditional when it comes to colours but this one just grabbed me. I love the design with the simple trim and the subtle burst. This Andertons demo of the 335 2018 dot is the best I've found on youtube but in the flesh, so to speak, it's sounds better than this to me. Clean to distortion those burstbuckers sound great. I've had 2 335's in my life more expensive than this and sold them both as they just didn't gel with me and I play through a boogie, Dr Z and a Tone King. - but this 2018 is a keeper. Hope you like it if you give it a bash and join the club!
I love the blue one! It looks like an epiphone colour. That not a complaint I’ve honestly been wanting that colour on a Gibson. More Guitars for all brands please. I have noticed with the Gibson’s the price has shot up. I have a 59 345 reissue 3 years ago (once in a lifetime guitar) and the equivalent I can find 63 335 is £2000 more after only 3 years.
Outrageous playing lads! I always fancied a Giibbo 335 like Alex Lifeson's, but then I realized I needed food and somewhere to live. That Marine one is to die for though.
i have some sleepless nights because of this guys. I love my es335 memphis figured faded light burst. I think by far the best sounding Gibson hollow bodied guitars.
Definitely different from a Les Paul sound, so it could be good if you're looking for something different to add to your collection. Also, worlds apart from a Gretsch centre block guitar. That said, I'm sure some might like adding a Bigsby or Duesenberg Les Trem to them.
Lots of criticism of current Gibson quality in these comments. FWIW, I have owned many high end, custom shop guitars. I just bought the 2018 Wine Red Dot and it's the nicest guitar I have ever played. For all the trouble they are in, Memphis and Gibson are still putting out nice instruments - but they ARE Damned expensive.

I had my doubts semi hollows could deal well with a good amount of gain and volume and they do. Thankfully, cause im interested in an epiphone dot and im more of a rock guy. (yah. Lol. The poor man's 335)

Nice to hear some "cool"playing, as opposed to the maxed-out gain, detuned shredding that happens here a bit too often (for my tastes, anyway). We ain't all Metal fans out here. No offence!
I think Anderton's does a very good job in providing variety in their presenters. Some stuff for bangers and some for those who like a little more mellow approach
I like the backing tracks, I got them myself and regularly jam to them. But nothing can beat musicians jamming together with nothing but their instruments, in my opinion.
Thanks for that info. Getting one for my son for Christmas. He loves playing his PRS, but I always tell him his Les Paul sounds the best in his hands and an ES-335, now that he is starting to play more jazz, would be the perfect addition.
beachhunting69 I have owned the ES-335 and ES-335 Studio (2017)... if you’re looking for a more cost effective option is the 2016 and newer ES-335 Studios. 85% a full on 335 without the cost. But a full on 335 is hard to beat if money isn’t an issue.
@@tricko2286 Thanks Tricko. I hear what you are saying. At this point money is not an issue because I sold or will sell a bunch of my toys (really not necessary at this stage of my life) to fund the purchase and get him a full on ES-335. One thing I did when getting all his guitars for him is go full bore. So a real LP, SG,Tele,Strat, Gretch, PRS. At least he is set up for later in life if he wants to unload one or two (except the Gretch Chet Akins since his grandmom bought him that one) since they all hold their value fairly well. Some I bought used but mint, but all American made. Saved up for them, but I believe it was well worth it.
FAAAAAAAAACK WHY is Pete so good!!!!!! (Ditto Ariel) Have to say if I could only have one Gibson it would be a 335 before a Les Paul (dream guitar is an es 355 with Varitone which unfortunately Gibson rarely make). Love you Andertons #gayforhonore

andrewleddy1 wow what a crazy rig? Which exact model did you get? Super jealous but thankfully all my money went into a Selmer Tenor sax (if you’re not a sax man then a nice Selmer Tenor is sorta like the sunburst Les Paul of Saxes so it’s pretty crazy)
amazing playing. I think the dot sounds alot better then the traditional . the traditional sounds a bit muddy but the dot sounds super clear. Maybe the burstbuckers work better in a 335 then the mhs buckets I have heard many people say they did not like the mhs pickups. the dot is alot cheaper and sounds better. the dot has a maple neck and the trad has mahagony maybe that contributes to the clearer tone of the dot.
This is a question for the Captain if he ever sees this: During NAMM 2017 you said that the reason you guys stopped selling Two Rock was because you didn't like the direction the new ownership was taking things, and that since a couple of the original owners rebought it you're interested again. When, if ever, will we be seeing Two Rock at Andertons again?
