I could understand in 2:29 if he said it would increase the longevity of the engine the same can't be said about the CVT. I heavily doubt that being that its a steel belt rather then set gears like a auto. Yes CVT's are more fuel efficient, but a CVT for now can not out last a automatic transmission.
Hideous. Ugliest Accord ever made. What was Honda thinking!!? Fast back designs are ugly, front and rear are atrocious. No V6. Can’t stand this new Accord or any new Honda.
Cayden Michael did you actually go look at the car in person or are you just another bandwagon keyboard warrior? I was skeptical at first from pictures and videos until I looked at one in person. Picking one up soon 😀
Mienboi821510 Yes, I’ve seen them. They look no better in person. All around they’re just ugly. Can’t stand Honda’s styling direction. They aren’t selling well and Honda has stopped production on them - dealerships have 120+ days worth of inventory they can’t sell. They’ve received a ton of negative feedback on the design and people just aren’t buying them. Meanwhile, the Camry is selling in record high numbers, even outselling the RAV4. The Altima is outselling the Accord right now. I actually like the 2018 Camry XSE V6 - never thought I’d say that, but the new XSE is sharp!
Cayden Michael You can have your same old same old look Camry. I love my new Honda touring. I’m doing a cross country trip right now. Love the gas mileage and ride. I have the 1.5 turbo. Wow plenty of power. I can’t even imagine the power the 2.0 has. What would you need a 6 cylinder for? Don’t knock it till you drive it.
Theo M The 2.0 isn’t any quicker than the outgoing V6. It’s also not quicker than the Camry V6. They’ve been tested and proven by Motor Trend. The 2.0 is pointless. No more performance than the V6 and the same and even worse fuel economy. What was the point? Especially with EPA being relaxed. Oh well, the styling alone keeps me away - hideous. I don’t care about fuel economy, which is why I buy proper sports sedans. I’ll never buy a four cylinder/cvt vehicle. I have no desire to. Also have no desire to drive the Accord. The Camry is a totally new design and looks great. The Accord is the same old stale Honda conservative look. They pulled a typical Honda move and played it safe with a dull, uninspiring design. Probably why they’re not selling. This was the wrong time to screw up the styling.
