OMG YOU MADE MY DAY!!!! I knew the noise was coming from driver side, under hood....one less drama! I can do that myself!. This was two months of this noise driving me nuts!
wow! thank you. have an appointment for my brand new 2019 accord sport (only 545mi) but your right my state temp did drop to 28 degree when I start hearing it. hell I was so happy I took off both sides. but I am seriously questioning Honda engineers a lot now. always bought Toyota this is my first Honda. the outlook is not looking good for Honda . I hope noting else comes up. but thank you for sharing your post! I love my Honda but..

I don’t know how or why this works, but I had the rattle this morning in cold ass Canada. Stopped at traffic light, popped the cap off, and it worked!!! You’re a fine man, Luis.
Thanks for posting that info, I just bought a 2018 touring and had that same rattling noise. I searched RU-vid and found your video, thanks for sharing that info. Removed the rubber cap and noise went away. 👍
Does the rattling happen only when on drive and reverse? Mine doesn’t make any noise on park or neutral but when idling on drive or park it makes the noise.
Does anyone hear an occasionally short metallic noise/sound right after the ICE turned on and run at low acceleration? When this happen, the gas pedal also vibrates. It comes on intermittently, but it only takes place right after the ICE turn on. It happens when the car running in EV and when I press the gas a little more to let the ICE turn on. If I press the gas harder it would immediately go away. It seems it only happen when ICE turn on and run at low acceleration? It sounds like a stick rattling in a can or vibrating undercarriage cover. It is difficult to replicate at the dealer, but the dealer has checked my 2018 HAH multiple times, and said no problem was found.
@Mr Miguel The sound that I was hearing was recorded and uploaded on youtube called 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Car Rattling Noise. You are welcome to listen to it. It's between 1:55 and 2:10. and no I do not have a heads up display, but I have seen those rattling video here, so I know what are you talking about. It's annoying.
Ronnie Hamilton yes mine on the driver as well. I went to Honda and they order me some kind of seal. But I never went back for them to put it. I been so busy with work and it’s been crazy for me. I am gonna try to call them next week and see if I can come there and do it.
Ronnie Hamilton it might. If you fold your mirror in while driving the noise will go away. I am thinking there is a small hole in the mirror and that’s what causing the sound. The air goes into that small hole and it makes that whistle noise
Makes sense! I wouldnt doubt it. I thought it was the seam where the mirror turns on its axis to turn in. Something with that making the noise because I stuck my hand in front of it while on the highway and the whistling went away
