Haa Haa. Story on the Borla Mustang Super TH. I bought a collection of HWs. I went through it and kept what I wanted. Took the rest to a diecast/toy show to sell. I was selling them mostly for $1 each. One guy bought this Borla Mustang from me for $1 and then tells me that it was a Super. I totally missed it. I was pissed that I missed it. But wasn't mad at the guy at all. He offered to give me more for it and I declined. It was my fault.

Man, 2018 was my golden year for collecting. I started around 2014/15, so by 2018 I was pretty knowledgeable but still a beginner. It was kinda the last year before HW collecting went mainstream. I probably found like 15 supers that year, sometimes two or 3 in a day. It was also the beginning of the jdm boom. So many cool castings made their debut then. Not to mention, redline prices hadn't went to the moon yet. I remember buying over $500 of redlines from a vintage toy store. That lot included 3 Custom Camaros, a MINT Custom AMX, and a near mint Custom Charger. That Charger is worth over $600, maybe 700 now. Still have the majority of those redlines in my collection. Also, finding vintage stuff at antique expos and stores. I was so so so excited about everything that was happening back then. Still am, but its definitely different now. Fuck, now I'm nostalgic for a time that really wasnt that long ago.

I started collecting in 2022 and found the Jaguar F-Type at my Kroger. Still the only super treasure hunt to this day. Hot wheels has became so popular

Cool rundown of 2018 cars. I collect some of the Tooned cars of old. They remind me of the cars in CarTOON Magazine, I used to buy and read, in the 1970s.

Yes 2018 is when I started collecting hotwheels got my first Black and Gold set with case Gold Camaro which I still own along with many other 50 th Anniversary sets just loving it Bro 🍹😎🇧🇸

You had a great year in 2018. I had a great year in 2018 but 2024 has been my best year so far since I started collecting hot wheels I have been finding some mystery models chase cars, regular treasure hunts, super treasure hunts, monster truck treasure hunts, and a whole bunch of new hot wheels this year plus I have been winning a bunch of RU-vid giveaways so far this year and my friends have been helping me out finding stuff I have been looking for. So this is the most lucky I have had in along time. So 2024 is definitely the best year so far for me since I started collecting hot wheels.👍

2018 was indeed a great year. I'm never super crazed about STHs. I prefer regular T.H.s or regular mainline cars. Take for example the STH Gulf Indy Oval Race car which was the only STH I found .It was nice, but I preferred the gulf Porsche 917LH. Anyway, you have a fantastic looking set of STHs. My favorite series from 2018 was hands down the Checkmate series. The designs and especially the cars they used.

My start was 2014 very similar to your story as I was learning all I could. I joined a Facebook group and eventually became quite popular. I hunted down alot of supers back then😎 Somethin else interesting I noticed about that legends tour wagon is that it's the only legends car that doesn't have the legends tour logo on the card🤷‍♂️. Cool to learn the history about that car and a era of collecting I missed👍

I started collecting in 2018 after seeing the tv special and hearing hot wheels were still only a dollar and needing a hobby. I did get all 4 walmart mini sets for 2018 and were considering selling then them for $200 each. First super in the wild was porsche 918 spider in 2020.

I was just getting going n 2018 by 2019 I was going hard found my first super n 2019 was the b case gulf gt 40 bro lemme tell ya from that moment on the hunt never stopped heck it still hasn’t stopped 😂🤣every day twice a day that’s the only way u can find stuff is to go hard 👍🤘🤘👊btw nice vid sir good luck 🍀 on the hunt
