Hi everyone! So 2018 is basically over, wow. We have a lot planned for next year that we're excited about: a new mini-series from Joss, season 2 of Explained on Netflix, and even a show we're making for RU-vid. But one constant, potentially the only since we started our channel, is that we wouldn't be here without you. So a huge thank you from our team for watching our videos!! We really do love making them for you 💛 - Vox Video
onetruboi, it literally opened with Will Smith, who has nothing whatsoever to do with RU-vid. Like many actors he has a RU-vid channel but it’s nowhere even close to his main source of income.
Zachary Wilson It opened with Will, however the majority of people in the video are content creators who help the platform. Regardless rewind has been a shitshow since 2015, it’s just corporate, political bullshit now.
Lol It seems like every single year everyone’s like *the world is ending this time guys, I know it didn’t end last year but it’ll end this year, trust me*
Kinda sucks feeling that sort of helplessness, that feeling that no matter what you cant do anything to make a meaningful change in the world. I know it sounds delusional but I still think we have the chance to make a change together.
So, why is nobody talking about 1:43-2:03? This is probably one of the most serious points made in the video and shows how bad climate change is getting.
benji i agree. 2018 was such a trash year. In all honestly, by any chance did the world really end after 2012? Because I feel like 2011 and 2012 were like the last good years.
Hi here from the future, 2020, 2019 was actually QUITE a year, we're in January and there are already WWIII memes... I have bad feelings about this year honestly
tbh, i understand it is impossible to cover everything, every view and every country in 5 minutes; but I still really appreciate this video as it manages to show how humanity was able to progress this year, and the issues we stood up together against, united as one, regardless of the setbacks. We were able to look the year in the eye and say "We won't stop", as we tried to help each other in times of crisis, ignoring our differences. Just like the lady at the end, we didn't let our determination deter, we were and are ready to fall till we succeed as one.
Doge YT darkness shall prevail over the planet. Man shall discover were he went wrong. Man will fall catastrophically into the pit of the unlucky. You will see friend. Run away. Go to the woods, live no life with the beast of the man; find peace in isolation and watch on as man causes himself to tumble
Stop making it seem like the world is ending. In 2018 and 2019, 90% of the world was enjoying more prosperity than ever before. 2020 is different, though.
That Thailand kids who trap in cave is garbage not interesting at all, they not belong here. There are lots of tragedies who are more dangerous than that and hundreds killed.
Me too. It was the first time I cried because a celebrity died.I really didn’t want to believe, that he wasn’t there anymore and it took me several Weeks to get over it a little
@LunnalazaraDawn Why did it give you chills? There has been no trial, guilty till proven innocent right? Her whole testimony had MANY holes in it, even the people she tried to use in her defense said differently to her statements or said they didn't remember. She didn't remember the year, day, time of day, how she arrived at the party, how she got home from several miles away, who attended etc. She may have had trauma, but her lack of memory should make people doubt her remembering it was Kavanaugh and not some other person. There is no evidence to back her up, so why are you so sure she is right? Because she was emotional? Many people can make themselves cry on demand, am I saying she is one such person? No, I'm just saying its a skill people have and should not be used as a validating factor. Also if you look at Kavanaugh's history there is nothing to hint at him acting like this, Ford's statements seem to be completely contradictory to Kavanaugh's character as a person.
tbh i kinda miss 2018. even though a ton of bad things happened, i was happy hanging around with my friends, having fun in school, and just being carefree. nowadays i’m carrying a lot of responsibilities behind my back and i’m starting to think i have anxiety.
I had the best year ever as well. Great shape, good music, hanging out with friends before we got cars, gaming, fun classes in school, a love interest, World Cup,

Yeah guys an American news company posted a video with mostly American clips and news! Next let's all complain about how a sports news network covers only sports! It's not like this is a private company that is posting free videos! You are paying for them or they receive your tax dollars, right? WHAT AN OUTRAGE! From Canada btw
This world is always apocalyptic. It never was peaceful. Just cause it’s ok where we live doesn’t mean the other parts of this world are not at constant war.
What I liked about this year recap that there was alot of positivity with the apocalipse: the meeting between north and south korea leaders, achivments in represatations in media, and so on... The first line of the video sums the year up:"Despite the chaos and confusion in our world, I see winds of hope blowing around the globe".
That's just your perspective view of how it was wasted. So speak for yourself, maybe other people never wasted their year. The fact that you imply it being wasted is completely a self-based opinion. With no goals, or dreams.
This is the only video that sums up 2018 in my opinion that wasn’t just because the channel wanted to get out a video in time, but because they wanted to make a decent video
I totally agree, but it's weird that they left out Stephen Hillenburg and Stefan Karl. Those were huge deaths that affected a ton of people, including myself.
2018 was such a trash year when you look at these things, fortnite, politics, dumb trends, and the loathsome beast of them all, TIKTOK. But it should've been longer just because 2017 in 7 minutes was 7 minutes
Eh? We've never been in a better time to live. Imagine being born just 200 years ago and dying from disease at the average lifespan of 38 years old. Be grateful.
It’s certain people can’t agree on certain things, it’s shown- this past year has been a roller coaster for us all. But it should poise as a reminder and what we’re capable of as a species. Take this term into whatever context you would prefer, but personally- I feel we can do better.
