I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited luxury package and it comes with almost everything the Overland has including panoramic sunroof. I love love love it!!!!
I just bought a limited but I'm getting all messed up because I have ventilated seats, navigation, parking assist, Harmon Kardon sound system, the offroad app, and the panoramic sunroof.
Good quick comparison video between the Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Limited trim and Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Overland trim. Few noticeable differences on the exterior. Mainly the front end. On the interior there are more noticeable differences between the two trim levels. That panoramic sunroof makes a big difference when you're inside looking outside. The Limited trim also has dual exhaust tips, but it's optional. What's optional on both the Limited trim and the Overland trim is that in reference to the powertrain a 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine is available which produces 360 horsepower along with 390 pound feet of torque. I currently have the 3rd generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which is one generation older than the two Jeeps shown in this video. I have intentions on getting the upcoming new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. It'll be released this coming year in 2021 as the 2022 model year. Based on information I got from couple sources, this upcoming 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee will have two rows of seats as the standard. However, for the first time in the Jeep Grand Cherokee lineup 3rd row seating will be available. Third row seating was first rumored for the 3rd generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which I have and the current soon to outgoing 4th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it didn't become to fruition. It'll become to fruition this time for the upcoming 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. This upcoming new generation will also have few more advanced safety features on top of what's already available on the current generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, a rotary dial shifter, HUD (Heads Up Display), a 10.1 inch infotainment screen for some models depending on trim levels and etc. The first year for the upcoming new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is the 2022 model year. As for me I'll wait and get either the 2023 model year or the 2024 model year. When the time comes I'll get mine in the Overland trim nicely equipped with 3rd row seating and the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. OBTW, the upcoming new generation will have a hybrid power train as well so that they'll be competitive with other vehicle manufacturers.
Yes, just look for one with the Luxury Option II package. Pretty much like an Overland without the air suspension. Includes upgraded sounds, panoramic sunroof, heated seats and steering wheel, etc.
my 2018 Limited has the Offroad Adventure II package and the tow package too so it is everything that a Trailhawk is without the obvious cosmetics(emblems, seats, red stitching, etc) which dont matter. This also holds true with the Overland which is basically the TrailHawk with different cosmetics. All the lane change, parking stuff, and stereo stuff is optional on all Limiteds so what this really should have been would be a basic comparison to non-optioned Limiteds vs Overlands.
Currently look at buying a Jeep GC, one thing that I am currently having issues finding out is if the GC normally come in rear wheel drive or 4x4 automatically? I keep getting missed answers, bc some models say 4x4 and some do not. Is that an extra feature that has to be purchased or does it depend on the model of the GC you are purchasing.
My 2018 limited has a lot different features than the red one you showed, it came standard with gps and sunroof and a few other features I noticed. I wonder why that is ?
I can’t believe that both of these vehicles don’t have apple car play or android auto in 2018. Insane. And the limited doesn’t have a sunroof at least standard?? WTF
They Overland is nice but they should have called it something else. No one will ever go overlanding with it, especially with 20" tires. No way..... Get the Limited and add on some after market stuff of get the Trailhawk.
Asan Masraf they’re pretty much the same with the exception of a few extra safety feature and the leather package offered for the summit for a whopping $5k extra. Buy used if you’re considering a summit
@@michaelgieseler2179 as you said few different is weird! Why manufacturered company (JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ) they produce Summit as new type beside all others like limited, overland, laredo... as a most luxurious car among those?!
Yea, that's not completely true. Some V6 engines will have dual. It's based on trim level in most recent years. Additionally, certain year altitudes had duals on the V6 and even the V6 limited but not anymore.
@@AndrewsCarReviews ok thanks. If I get the 2018 overland I'll probably get better tires than the ecopias first before I swap speakers or put in a tweeter or something
1st your video wasn't bad but you need to do a lot more research when making a video like this. You miss a lot of key point to the whole Jeep brand the few things that make Jeep a Jeep, few things you said was not true or you just skipped over a few things. Over all I give a 3 out of 10 for a overall rating.
I bought mine last may 1 year ago come memorial day. LOVE IT. I went from Mercedes to Jeep and I actually like the Jeep a hell of a lot more. Its a wonderful SUV in every way. Cant wait until the redesign, but I'm scared they might ruin it.
Great review. I enjoyed it. I have a Grand Cherokee. Just wish it had the panoramic roof and automatic fold in mirrors. I love everything else that it does have.
I had an 2018 Overland which was totaled. I went and purchased a Limited and regret it. The Overland is WAYYY better. It feels like a more solid/premium build. The leather, the tow hooks the dual exhaust, the steering wheel is NICE
I agree I had an Overland which was totaled. Opted for the limited and instantly noticed the difference. The headlights, the sound insulation, just an overall better build with quality parts. I even believe the engine is a little better as well.
Normaler Mensch ..I have the diesel in my Summit. I like the diesel gas mileage however the engine and transmission combination seems to make the engine rev a bit
Great video. You didn’t mention one of the coolest features of the Overland. There are lights under the side mirrors that light up the ground at night when you unlock the doors!
I lease so I can get a new car every 2 to 3 years, I want either a Summit or Overland or even a loaded Altitude. Jeep has the best looking vehicles on the road. Hope your Overland has been good for you.
I have a 2013 overland and it’s been great all these years hasn’t had any problems Sears are very comfortable and that air suspension is very handy while off roading
@@DRV-mt5dd good thing you commented because boy am I spending alot of $$$ too haha. We drove it in the snow and that caused the 4wd system to malfunction and after alot of service, and probably more than $1000 dollars in repairs it is now only 2wd, not sure specifically what happened since it is my sisters car. Something else I am dealing with is the air suspension leaking which I hope is not to expensive to fix, but I have heard air suspension issues are very expensive to repair, we will see...
Hey Andrew, I live in the Caribbean and ask myself what electronics will work and not where I am. My home is the island of Dominic, not Dominican Republic. Thanks a lot enjoy watching, on your way to, Top Gear. Thanks, David, GDDIV
Thats because the Overland comes standard with the 9 speaker 600 watt Alpine system which is still very good not as good as the 19 speaker 1200 watt Harmen Karden sound system but still very nice.
Hi.. First Thank you for your video . I am here in Cyprus planning to buy Jeep Cherokee limited edition 2015 model with 51000mi , I want your advice after 4..5 years using the car ,unfortunately in Europe many bad comments about this model that have many problems... Please advise
The most important features on overland and some limited is Quadra trac 2. And factory tow package. Everything else is blah black. Laredo is for idiots that don’t know what 4x4 badge means.
There’s absolutely no reason for anyone to buy the limited unless they wanna be a loser 😭 Overland is the way to go couple mods then we pushing like a 392
Very great video! Looking forward to running my new grand Cherokee Overland! Great walk-through video. Very helpful for the new customers that are introduced to the new vehicles like these brands! Thanks.
They are about $10k different as equipped. The limited is in the low $40s and the overland is in the low $50s. I would recommend whichever fits your budget better! They are both fantastic choices, you really can’t go wrong. Grand cherokees are my favorite Jeep.
I have an overlander 2014 bought it with 120k have it 5 years and put additional 30k and have spent about 1500$ on maintenance changing suspension arm , AC repair, key, alarm ,tyres, The only issues are the headlamps that i upgraded to led .But still are not whats suficiente. All in all its a great 4x4 and in my opinion after owning & driving many 4x4 mercedes ,audi ,Vws toyota nissan, The overlander is probally as good as you get for value & quality
I have 2014 laredo 4x4 without nav or heated seat option much mor can you help how to get them don’t be mad if this is common stuff because i just bought it:(
If you go to the website build and price you can get the safety features on a limited; you can get a V8 Hemi ON A LIMITED; I am sure you can get the LED lights if you ask them which I am going to; I am going to ask for the full chrome grill too;
I have the 2018 Overland and I would not trade it for any other model. Mine has every available option and it’s super nice and comfortable to travel in. I consistently get 21mpg City and 27mpg Highway.
@@reckclerk1017 No mine is the V6. I had a 2006 Hemi WK and it got 18mpg highway and 13mpg city. The new ones are much better. I have a friend that has a 2018 WK2 Hemi and he gets 17+ towing a 26’ travel trailer. Anyway I hope that helps.
@@Cad1900 oh yeah that's bad ass, thank., I was wondering if the newer version had cheaper fuel consumption. Now I just need my old lady to get a job so I can afford something newer
Meanwhile, im pushing a Laredo, with none of that. Kicking myself in the ass, everytime i hop in. Went for low mileage over extra accessories. Gonna add aftermarket leather seats, and call it a day.
the thing that you are not telling anyone is that you can get all of the safety features (advanced cruise control; self parking etc.) on the limited but you have to order it from the factory that is the only difference
I have a JGC 3.0L diesel Overland 2013 model. I was trying the car to see if it drives well and all that is promised by Jeep. Well I have no complaints... great car indeed. However, it is a nightmare to get parts for the car here in South Africa and they are bloody expensive. I am considering upgrading to the 2019 model of the same trim level.
Kevin Solon yes having an AWD vehicle helps but being a careful/smart driver goes a long way as well. When I drove a rear wheel drive car for 9 years in the Midwest not once did I get stuck in snow. Had plenty of close calls but I did witness countless 4x4 and AWD Pick up trucks, Jeeps, and other SUV’s end up in ditches or spinning off.
