Medley #4, featuring John Zamborsky, Darian Goulding, Sevon Askew, Garrett Ryan Hoy, Brandon Sarti, Sam Aubuchon, Miles Hull, Jonas McMullen, Daniel Kohanbash, and Max Pink.
My goodness, all of these positive comments are amazing. I am so lucky to have been a part of such an awesome group of guys. I can't wait to see what they all do!!! - Seymour
Max Pink. All. The. Way. Incredible vocal control with an accent as well as heartbreaking realistic emotion that locked you in from start to finish. I can’t stop replaying his solo, I'm in LOVE
Max pink just about killed me. I cant even begin to describe how much I adore his voice and the pure emotion behind it paired with the control he has. It’s literally insane I love his role and when it got to that key change. It was all over I was full on s o b b i n g.
Galileo was fantastic, but Pressure was an odd choice for me. It sounds luke there's something missing without the support of Scaramouche, I think I Want To Break Free would have been better personally.
I was like. Half paying attention, just listening in the background and when the beast started singing I looked up like WTF bc wow he sounds so good (also fav song) (but mostly he sounds like the original wow)
Fabrizio (Garrett Hoy) is my kid now at PACE MT in NYC but Mathew Morrison played Fabrizio and was a student of David Green who now runs Musical Theatre University at Rancho Mirage high school in southern CA and Garret Hoy attended MTU. David Green said that he waited for the right students to do the musical because its difficult and it was a fantastic.
This medley is so good! They’ll all have such strong, pure voices, and I didn’t really have a problem with any of their acting. Sam Aubuchon, the Seymour, lives near me, and getting to see him perform in his show was amazing. I really love this Beast too!
Future roles for these actors: Galileo: Roger, Rent Beast: Phantom, POTO El Gallo: Curly, Oklahoma Fabrizio: Marius, Les Mis Sam: Henry, Next to Normal Seymour: Orpheus, Hadestown Burt: Nathan, Guys and Dolls Henry: Anatoly, Chess Robert: Finch, How to Succeed Archibald: Rolfe, Sound of Music I picked these out at one AM so don't be nasty, but so feel free to add on
The Orpheus for Seymour is ON POINT. Also I think Galileo would be a fantastic Rich in Be More Chill and Robert could be Mr. Braden in Thoroughly Modern Millie
Fabrizio - Garrett Ryan Hoy, you had one of if not the most difficult songs & I am so proud of you!! Stephen Schwartz wrote in your book he looked forward to working with you again in the future & I know that day is coming. Enjoy PACE BFA in musical theatre & break a leg!!! We support you 100% as well as broadway veterans who have worked with you & know not only your talent but your work ethic. ❤️💫🎭
Yo idk why this was in my recommended but Seymour👌👌👌👌 my first musical i ever saw and was in was little shop of horrors so its very close to my heart and i loved this guys characterization of Seymour❤ also, the guy who did El Gallo was great and it brought back wonderful memories from when i was in The Fantasticks (its crazy how so alike they sound)..the guy who played El Gallo in our production brought magic (ya know slight of hand) to his character and i fricking loved it and it made being on stage the whole time so fun
Two years later because RU-vid recs are odd commentary! Max Pink was fantastic, though I might be slightly biased due to my love for the Secret Garden. Other stand outs to me were Sam Aubuchon (characterization), Miles Hull (accent), and John Zamborsky (overall presence).
I absolutely love the Jimmy’s I have met two of these guys. I saw Miles as Bert, he was amazing. Then got to perform with Daniel with Camp Broadway also amazing. Can’t wait to see where they go.
Fun bit of trivia from someone who went to High school with Jonas McMullen and was in Jeckyll and Hyde with him--he actually played Robert in Drowsy Chaperone two years before he was Jekyll. I wonder if that was a known thing when they planned thay transition, lol
David Greens Musical Theatre University at Rancho Mirage High school in southern CA, Mathew Morrison was also David Greens student and its such a difficult musical to sing and play musically. David Green has only done Light in the Piazza once and waited till he had a student that could do it and that student is Garrett Hoy. Who is at PACE MT in NYC.
Ginger Nolasco thats Sevon Askew! He does theatre locally in my town as well! His past roles have included Evan in 13, Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie, and I think Schroeder in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. He’s very talented and a ton of fun to be around.
I don't think Galileo was the right part for that guy, I feel like he would've done better in a different role his voice didn't fit the song in my opinion
