2018 June Test Series: Third Test - Australia v Ireland 

From an Englishman: This Ireland team is really something. Their progress over the last few years is outstanding. For once I would like to see them make a decent impact at the next world cup as they just seem to fall short when it matters but enjoy this deserved series win for the moment.

Congrats to Ireland. What a magnificent team they have. They are the only true challengers for the ABs. On the flip side for Australia, Bernard Foley actually looked like an elite international fly-half for majority of this series.

Irish rugby has NEVER had it so good............the cabinets in IRFU are bulging............6N, TRIPLE-CROWN, PRO14, EUROPEAN-CUP and now LANDSDOWNE cup...............5 trophys in one season............WOW

Also the resurgence of the Scotland rugby team who are going to Win honours . What an action packed game.

Wow this was one of the best games I've seen this year, I thought the aussies might of pipped the Irish at the end but it was not to be. Well done Irish the ref had a really good game, he done well but still needs improvement. The aussies will only get better from here and they are going to be a force come WC2019. PS Go the All Blacks.

Great series. Tough luck to the Aussies they finished off the better team but just ran out of time. As another Irish man living down under this series was excellent. Love the banter in the pub with the Ozzie’s, even though a lot are sore losers. Where’s the rest of the highlights?

From an Aussie, congrats to Ireland I think the end results are probably fair and the better team won. Please beat the ABs when you get a chance. If I can maybe explain some of my fellow countrymen’s (including Cheika) angst over refereeing, I think we all just want the referee to be a bit less visible. Both yellow cards weren’t yellow cards. Stockdale probably warranted just a penalty (if that), and Folau wasn’t even a penalty. Besides that, two good teams threw what they had at each other. Good viewing.

Where were the 2 yellow cards deliberate knock-ons, Australia’s penalty miss in the 68th min.

Of course, teams like Ireland will just get stronger, due to their strong currency, and their ability to (unfairly) lure players from other countries, to play for them (examples: CJ Stander, Bundee Aki). They should just be called the Barbarians.

Australia only seem to play aggressively just after they have watched a Stater of Origin NRL game. They see how football should be played and take it to the field (note their second test win) however they cannot remain focused and revert back to their old habits. (note their third test loss)

Lineout leading to Stander's try was as wonky as they come.

Those highlights are a joke.

Penalties need to be worth less. The emphasis northern hemisphere teams put on penalty goals and what southern teams are starting to really takes away from the game. We should be able to see more running rugby and tries! Not kicking goals from 50metres out because it is safe

Australia, not tough enough again. Ireland, the staunch Potato dug in and defended like a Rat. Not many tries as expected barely matching the 2 French tries scored against the AB's. Hope England and South Africa play Rugby instead of Soccer.
