For the, "it's still a kia" or "xx for a kia?!" comments: If it's a quality product, does the brand really matters? If a brand starts making better products it's a sign of brand evolution. But if you prefer to buy a worst quality product from a better known brand at a higher price, because of the badge and you're worried about what others gonna think... well, you're an idiot. You'll not be making a smart choice, but hey... it's your money.

So it’s a Kia big deal. Buy a Porsche or Mercedes and I bet your services will cost you a fortune and the car will have a 3 year warranty. The Stinger has a 7 year warranty and capped price servicing. The mustang Gt has a 2 Star safety rating in Australia and it was my first choice but the stinger has a five star safety rating. So if you want to impress with a name badge and have deep pockets go right ahead. The Stinger is good value for money and has the same performance of most European cars. Please stop bagging the car unless you have actually driven it like I have.

I've been waiting for months to hear the starting price of this Stinger. Now that I've heard it, I'm shocked. Much less expensive than expected. A sexy GT car for the $30k range? Wow.

Kia and Hyundai have made leaps in the last decade. The Stinger has the best performance/value in its segment, period. In the hybrid/electric cars arena, the Ionic Hybrid is one of the best hybrids in the market. With the KIA Kona coming out and the Hyundai Ionic rumored to get increased range, they are nailing the competition. And all that, while offering 5/7 year warranties!

Drooled over this way back then...Now in my driveway!! 2020 GT line with a few needed extras! 34 MPG on our quick trip to Sonoma from Reno NV.

Nice car! Its funny to see people who have ro have the " brand name vehicles" get nervous , and have to cut up on kia .performance is performance! The reason why this guy didnt record the times and left it up to us was probably because it did beat the Porsche, and he didnt want to upset that car company or all who have spent tons O money for that "brand name ". He should have gave us the. 0 to 60 times that was kinda stupid on his part I meen this was a review. I say give credit whare credit is do , and dont be so narrow minded, but im not telling some of you nothing you dont already know lol.

This car is beautiful. However, one *important* thing it is missing: a rear wiper blade!!!! Please add one, even if it's an option. Driving sedands/fastbacks/hatchbacks with such a slanted rear glass in rain or snow is a nightmare!!! Has any of the designers/engineers thought if this?

I️ have the 2013 Kia Optima SX model. It has over 86,000 miles and it run amazing. I love the style and love the design including the 274HP on the little Turbo. I️ was thinking of trading it in for the Stinger, but would rather keep it and buy the Stinger to add to My Kia collection. I️ will probably wait for 2019 for them to get rid of the Gremlins if they have any cause I️ tell u the best thing Kia has done is hire Audie and BMW designers. Peter Shryer, did an amazing job with the 2013 design and now the Stinger has a new Hire from BMW. Wow!! Keep up the good work KIA...

Reminds me of 1990, when the first generation Acura NSX was released. It was the same thing, Honda comparing it directly against Ferraris and Porsches, magazines like Car and Driver and Road and Track were praising the NSX, and Ferrari and Porsche fans were in denial saying "it's still a Honda".

Twin turbo in a Kia! Nearly 400 HP in a Kia! Wow! I may be wrong, but I don't think at $50,000 it will sell and I'd wager like most Kia's, depreciation will will be just as quick as it's 0-60 time.

$52k loaded, drive away ...and it’s worth $32k. I will buy it as second owner for 45% off. Just like Genesis, 3-4 year residuals will be poorest in segment till reputation catches up. Resale Worse than BMW, and Mercedes !! I am living it with my beautifully reliable yet for me personally, underpowered 2016 Genesis. Also, Kia is Offering $6800 in lease cash right now as they know it’s price point is too high for Us market, and Japanese yen is trading stronger against them.

the back tailights look like a maserati mixed with a jaguar f type tailights mixed together

Is it just me, or does the back end look similar to a Dodge Dart's? The tail lights, at least.

That’s a good looking car. Y’all remember, an M series or AMG series might be somewhere in the ballpark of the fully loaded stinger, you’ll get the BMW or Benz at or near the base level.

I tell you what's interesting (to me) is that in the UK sedans are getting more popular compared to a decade ago when the hatchback was way, way more popular while at the same time you say it's the opposite over there.

The lack of a manual on this car is beyond sad. You’re going to offer an AWD twin turbo V6 but not a manual? Love Kia but really hope this becomes an option in the future.

Is the steering wheel out of the mark 7 GTI/Golf R? Looks exactly the same except for the porous 3/9 grips...

Now that KIA has established itself in the real world they should consider moving into the Grand Prix world and eventually into the Formula world. Heck they might have the skills to get Maclaren out of the toilet. Love my Stinger GT1.

This video is scattered and unorganized. And are you serious, you couldn't time the 0-60 MPH yourself? Weaker channels have done better. Please take notes from the competition.

Kia is trying...doing what it does best trying to copy BMW and Audi in this case. If you look at the car you can see BMW and Audi has been copied i.e. nav, gear shift etc...I wouldn't buy one because at the end of the day its still a KIA!

Why do the American models not have 360° view, rear heated seats, or the switch to move the passenger seat up from the rear!? Really bothers me.

If you get out of the car in sport mode, does it stay in sport mode the next time you drive the car again? Or does it go back to comfort?

I sat in the Stinger yesterday , it is gorgeous inside and very Merc like interior except steering wheel looks anemic ! It is a $40k car loaded in my opinion - the dealership experience is not worthy of that $50k price . Leases are poor because residual drops like anchor in Mariana’s trench, and you have to lease 48 months to balance depreciation compared to a Dodge charger SRT392 ,which is faster in all ways, and $125 a month less in payment on a year less lease terms of 36 months or 1 year shorter terms - Better resale on a Dodge, & no trying to be upscale ...just a brawler ‘

For my personal car I only buy BMWs due to their driving nature, this is a car that excites me and the tuning potential is going to be good. Can't wait to drive one.

The problem with this car is that it has no unique identity, it looks like different car brand models put together. The Exterior styling has Jaguar XF front and side styling with Lexus RCF front headlight design, mixed with a somewhat Maserati rear design. The dashboard layout or design very reminiscent of the Mercedes c class. It's just a mix of several cars and that is a problem, i would just not dig a car like this no matter how good it is as a bargain.

The question is though....how will the Buick Regal GS compare. I mean we are talked brembo brakes sport tuned suspension etc. Less horsepower of course but I would like to see a review of that car when it comes time. Roman would you choose the Audi A7 or Kia Stinger?

The story here is that a KIA competes with a car almost double its price. I don't care if it is ONLY in speed/acceleration. The fact that a 58k dollar kia competes in ANY aspect with a 100k Porsche is quite amazing. If you guys cannot understand that, you are being willfully daft or are just Porsche fanboys.

Since 2013 im using kia quoris (k9, k900) which i had paid 58k us $ and its perfect, looks, performance, options and comfort. I used 2 hate korean cars like many of u, but now its my first choice...

It's an okay sports sedan, but it's still a Kia. The badge makes it look pretty laughable.

I think everyone is stuck on track figures and missing the entire point of this vehicle. It's a GT Cruiser and not a track star. But considering the long wheelbase , overall length, and the fact that it weighs over 4,000 lb, the numbers are still not shabby.

All the naysayers in here so badly want their BMWs and Audi's to be better than this car. It's actually pretty funny how blinded they are. Half of them or more do not own a German luxury car and probably never even driven one to qualify their statements...

Was this recorded at Six Flags Magic Mountain?

Kia should have held this event at Magic Mountain either the last week of August or first week of September 2017 when it was over 110 degrees during the day in Valencia/Santa Clarita. It was hot and I had a black minivan for that trip so there is the misery index of 11 on a scale that goes to 10..

Yes they compared it against the Panamera, but it was 300 hp naturally aspirated. Even then it barely beat the Porsche. Now put it up against the Panamera with comparable power and you'll surely see a dramatic difference.

What a journey has been for Hyundai and Kia , back in 90s they are literally on the bottom of the pile - now a worthy competitor to BMW and other premium brands .

that steering wheel emblem is H I D E O U S !!! there is no way the KIA name will ever be worth that price. They should just come up with a different name like Toyota/Lexus. I'll be damned to share the same Make badge on a Stinger (cheap name btw) as a Kia Rio, Soul, or Forte

Does the Stinger have leather seats and dashboard and door panels? Yes. Leather steering wheel? Yes. Navigation? Yes. Drive modes? Pretty much what I’m gettin at is that it has everything that it’s competitors have, BUT if you sit in a Porsche, BMW, Audi, or any of the luxury brands, the materials that are used in those are far nicer to the touch, and laid out better. It’s cool that Kia offers a car like this, but I just don’t get he same feeling I get when stepping into Kia’s premium models, compared to when I step inside an Audi, and feel the materials that are used. $50l is a lot of money, and I wouldn’t ever spend that much for this Stinger, especially when it’s performance, though it is good, is still on par or worse than its competitors.

Test drive it today great car.. almost to much power for la traffic.. its 5k off MSRP now which makes me wonder if I should just wait 3 years and buy it used for 40 percent off.

Imagine they put 400+ or 500+ Horespower engine, do you think the Hellcat can handle this? Anyway, this is very good car and affordable.

You guys do realize this is Kia first attempt at a performance car (I know they're a part of Hyundai genesis but still) and they did a good job at it. Plus reliability will be much better then european or American crap. I support Kia all the way with this vehicle! Amazing!

I've seen BMW's and Audi's with more hard touch plastic areas than this Awesome Kia Stinger !! I've felt them having bumpier ride than this Awesome Kia Stinger. Materials and fit and finish is pretty good in this Stinger. German/European Designers behind this Awesome Stinger !! So folks, go test drive one and see for yourselves.. It is pretty AWESOME !! For those comparing to $100K + cars, get real... I think comparing the V6 Porsche Panamera is a very comparable level (fact that it Stinger has more power, well every comparable car has to be similar, they can't be exact) . it's a v6 Turbo, it costs much more, etc.. it's a perfect comparable...and it beats it 0-60, but its neck in neck with it on other categories, from another video going around where the added a BMW 640i for a 3 car comparison, and the Stinger beat the BMW in all the categories in that video, and Porsche took most of the other categories, but the stinger was super close 2nd... and as another guy said here.. for those saying every single part in Porsche is better, well maybe, but prove it ? mention all the parts and how you come to be aware of this ? or are you just assuming ? one example.. the Stinger has Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.. whatever the Porsche has, will not be better.. maybe the same, but not better... I'm not saying if I won the lottery I wouldn't want to buy the Porsche,.. just saying the KIA STINGER, especially for it's price, did a super job on this vehicle and it's really competitive in it's engineering. Just Give credit to where it's due !! You can still choose to buy a German car, it's your right..but don't bash a car, cause it beats yours for half the price.. be honest.. They hired some guy from BMW to help create the Stinger. Hyundai has been doing that too, but for a long time now and that's why you see the changes in their vehicles over the years. That's a good thing because South Koreans don't have the capabilities to make cars like these on their own

Screw 0-60 times...I owned a 2010 VW GTI and there are plenty of cars that will beat it. However, it was one of the most fun cars that I've driven.

Roman, you mean that feels quick. Fast refers to how fast you are going, as in what speed/mph. Like if you got a ticket for going "to fast", sir, you were doing 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. Fast refers to mph, not acceleration times. Hey can't people understand such simple things. Such as the fact that a vehicle engine has horsepower and the byproduct of hp is torque. Torque in an engine applicauis referred to as "lb-ft".... Not ft-lbs. There is a big difference.
