2018 KTM Adventure Rider Rally Day 4 

Thanks! Been getting as much riding and training in as I can and am excited to see how it goes!

16/45, so a bit shorter than stock. There's enough adjustment in the axle that I can throw a 17 tooth countershaft sprocket on if I'll be doing a lot of pavement riding.

@@gearheadE30 That 16/45 is what I prefer on my 950 super enduro. I took a big trip this summer and rode all year with 17/45 and I don't like it. 17/45 is just WAY too tall for ATV trails and single track.

@@BrapBang Yeah, it does help with the tight stuff but rode 16/43 for years and it never kept me from going anywhere. The LC8 clutch just doesn't seem to mind a bit of abuse. I only recently made the change for the Ultimate Race just to see if it would help, and the main benefit for me has been keeping it in 2nd gear where I would have had to downshift or slip the clutch more before. A lot fewer accidental neutrals if I don't have to go down to 1st.

@@gearheadE30 hard to tell on video, but I think I would be in first going through some of that single track in your video, regardless of gearing! I'm practicing, but I've got a lot to learn about riding the big pigs on singletrack.

@@BrapBang yeah, cameras really screw with perception of speed. in the really rocky stuff I was in first, but I click up to second and third as soon as it smooths back out. That said, I tend to ride at lower RPM and shift a lot more than a lot of people. Everyone has their own style. There is always more to learn, and practice is the best way to figure it out!

It's just a GoPro Hero 3. I think I have the ProTune setting turned on, but otherwise that's just how it came out of the camera. Utah does have a remarkably blue sky though.

@@gearheadE30 thanks, I just the hero and it doesn't do that clear. Did alot ot video in Zion Park last june off the harley and it don't look near as clear and bright as this video. Thanks for the info. Hopefully get the dualsports out around the ST George UT next summer. That's the plan anyway lol.
