I bought an AdBlue tank for a quick-fix-fill at a tanking station before ordering a bigger refill tank. A few liters cost me like 20€ - the faulty NOx sensor after that cost me 750€ in Mercedes Munich (my own fault, I just drove it in there after the engine light came on). The worst thing about it was that a Bosnian was trying to charge me more than a 1000€, haggling like I was at a freaking Bazaar somewhere - in Mercedes Munich Arnulfstraße.
You should have either gone into the service menu & adblue level on the cluster or connected your scan tool & gone into the SCR system actual values & filled to the correct level there’s a chance you could have overfilled the tank, have to regularly deal with this & drain overfilled tanks & even replaced tanks where it’s damaged the fill level sensor. If you overfill the sensor goes past the full mark to implausible the adblue system is quite sensitive to this & 50 miles down the road when it’s done a full drive cycle a system fault code gets set.
Hey dave be careful some of the spurious filters don't have the metal mesh on the air filters I can't remember why but I think it's something to do with the maf they do need the mesh. And also it passes me off when lads use claws and chains on cartridge filters. The genuine one was like 16 euros off merc.
Ive got a same merc, the adblue message just popped up today, how many litres of addblue do i have to buy, how many litres does it require to fill up fully? Its the first time i will be doing this. Thank u
Dave does adblue have a shelf life we have a mercedes a class w177 a200d auto its due its first service next month due to illness the car has covered very few miles in the year so still has 99% full of adblue should we get this drained or just topped up
That looked like something with a tail had been chewing at the air filter , it will have had a sales service, as we know oil n filter, lights levels, money please bye bye , at least its had a proper job now Dave , shame about where the 32.5% comes from 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍
had a customer come in with a coolent sender code i take it out to replace it coolant smell like tear gas eyes were watering from it temp sender desolved away adblue in coolant :D
Stopped selling the high power sprinters vans with those engines where nothing but problems, Merc was changing 4500 injector's a week at one point, previous engine where much more reliable
