TheStraightPipes not sure why but I see comments from two days ago. I have the bell notification thing on since I subscribed about a few weeks ago. Might be a bug? Also to answer the question, this this the best looking car in its segment. But you guys have got to try the alpha giulia. Would be epic to see you guys go head over heals on that cars exhaust note. It’s EARGASMIC
I only discovered this channel 3 days ago and I live the visor test! Like yourself I didn't know they did this, and I'm sad to say my car (2000 vw polo) doesn't have sliding visors
I once heard of the E Class referred to as “a reflection of the driver’s solid commitment to Middle Management.” I currently own an E class sedan, an e class coupe, and an e class wagon. I have a window office but not a corner one, a 3/2 house in a neighborhood of bigger houses, and I regularly score above average but below outstanding on my HR performance reviews. I am CRUSHING my life plan.
If I could go on a road trip at least once every couple of years, drive in a rainy day just like the one here with all the windows open and grab a nap in this or something like this once in a while,I'll know I've made it.
getting my very own E400 this weekend, and have watched this video no less than 10 times. Thank you Yuri and Jakub for showing me so convincingly why to get it.
So you guys planted the seed in my head 2 years ago. I’ve watched this video too many times, and as a result I’ve just bought a 450! No denying the enthusiasm in this video. Love it!
My dad has an E 400, it's such a comfortable ride and the power feels so accessible with the confidence of twin turbos and AWD. There's also an ECU tune that adds a ton of extra performance to these cars, they're incredible machines!
Two door hardtops are the best! Cruising with all the windows down with your arm resting on the sill and the totally open view is awesome. A lot of old cars are like this and its an experience that this generation is missing out on. There is so much to like about this car and this review. The light show inside and outside, the grille with its circular pattern is incredible, the gauges and infotainment screens, and the seats. The only thing that I don't like about this car is the shape of the taillights. It's like they are too rounded or too big or something, they just look a little awkward to me.
OMGWTFLOL You obviously haven't seen any of Cadillacs concepts recently. I'm not talking out of my ass, the Caddy coupes are coming. And holding on to my money for one won't be a problem.
Man O War So much yes. Bring back the XLR. Slap a supercharged vette engine in it, give it the amazing interior of the cts, maybe price it 20k above the z06's. That'd sell like cigarettes in prison lol

@@manowar5516 even if Cadillac would have good looking cars - which they don't - why would you buy them? American cars are all so incredibly bad. They are literally worse at everything than every other top country's cars
Those old school eldorados were so nice for their time. I wish they’d bring back plush velvet seating. So comfortable. Leather is so overrated in a luxury car. They can’t even do genuine suede seats? Come on.
I have a 2012 E Class Coupe. Holly cow do I love my car! Seriously, one of THE most beautiful and confortable cars in the world. I smiled all the way through the review. What a glorious model.
@@gsp1634aha no problem. I was curious as I am considering a 2012 E500 sedan or a CL500 same year.. How’s your experience overall and with fitting people in the back in real life?
I've seen tons of reviews on the 2018 E400 here on RU-vid, and yours by far is the best review there is! I currently own a 2015 E400 Coupe in polar white, and yes, having no B pillars ROCKS!!! One of my favorite features on the E400 Coupe! Again, superb review on the 2018 E400 Coupe, and I'm looking forward to more of your reviews on many other cars! Subscribed!!!
I brought an E400 3 weeks ago ( 2017) in white, although I got the 21-inch alloys- the car is the amazing, very special, best car I have driven.....ever!! I live in Australia, so plenty of room the put that comfort foot down. but........ I rarely do, not sure why, probably because power meets sophistication, you just relax, and know it there is if you need it, and everyone else can see by the looks of the car that it's there too. plenty of mad UTEs here, which occasionally, just occasionally I just have to smoke and leave for dust,
Thank you fellas! I was coming from a 535ix and wasn't sure what I wanted. The 540 wasn't "new" enough for me. I actually considered the 4 series Coupe as a change, but I didn't want to feel like I was taking a step down. I thought about the E Sedan but then I saw your video on the E Coupe and it was a game changer. Everything you said about the way I "feel" sitting in and driving it is true. Oh... and I got the E450 so I got a nice little bump in power.
The seat stitching looks like the old days, but modernized with buckets. Lots of classic mercedes coupe features carry on like the seatbelt retrieval, auto adjusting seats when accessing the back, no B pillar. It all works so well. Cant wait to get one... Used... 10 years from now.
Enjoyable review. The gap between the headlamps and hood is referred to as "over slam" and designed to keep the hood from hitting the headlamp units when slammed (hence the name) shut.
Great review again guys!! It’s official, you guys are the best!! I actually want to sit in and experience this car. The level of detail and quality really caught my attention! And I don’t even like coupes! 😂
I came across your RU-vid channel unexpectedly. Great review! I have a 2018 E400 Coupe and I love it for all the same reasons you guys mentioned in your video. I love the dynamic between the two of you. Looking forward to watching other reviews from you guys.
Like the intro, "smooth" review ! . I can't wait your Class S review, I wish I could be your "chauffeur" for the time of the review so you can show all the features/gadgets you have as a passenger.
I did the visor test in my dad's 2016 Mercedes GL350 Bluetec. When it didn't pass, I was so disappointed. On a different note, I think the reason for the gap between the hood and the headlights is so when people slam the hood down instead of gently closing it, it doesn't smash into the light and break it. I think this car is so amazing because it's a Mercedes Coupé. The ultimate grand tourer of grand tourers. Especially with that white and brown combination 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. The one thing different I would get would to get the E-Class Cabriolet. Can't wait for the S-Class video.
Good review! the best part for me are the outside driving shots. I get a real sense of the handling. Most of the car blogs do not show the car like you do. Big ups for the the Camera car.
I literally LOL'd when the trunk opened with the sensor! After all that effort it eventually worked! What an exciting endeavor! Definitely worth the wait!
If looked at a dozen reviews on this car and this is and I mean bye far the best review u guys are the only one to mention the different color options great Job...
That gap between the headlight and hood is a design trend in most modern cars (really noticeable on the 2018 mustang) giving the car a slightly more aggressive look with hood sloping over the head lights.
Thank you guys for this review. I have this one but it’s the edition 1. I am in love with my car. I’ll try to do a vid on it soon. You guys nailed it with this review. There isn’t one thing that I would disagree with you on. I’ve never felt like this with any other car I’ve owned. Pure luxury, solid feel and definitely stands out. One of my favorite things about mine is the designo magno cashmere matte white special matte paint. Amazing. Thanks again!
how happy you 2 are when trying a car!!! Thats cool ... Unlike other guys, disliking everything on premium cars😂 ( like if they daily drive something better). And the diferent points of view of things ...like when something negative can be ok for others... Those things makes It to me, the best ,most relaxing, and fun...Car review Channel 👏👍 Thanks dudes! From México!🤘
You’re review is the first I have seen of this car that shows the heads up display which has caused a serious bottle-neck in production due to the demand.
@@slooriginal1727 Technically yes, but prior to the newest model year the gla45 looked much more like the a45 than an SUV. Just about every review mentions this.
Great Car, one of many great Videos; You guys are funny and i really enjoy the honest reviews, unlike many other Car review Channels who focus way too much on useless stuff, you guys show us what we want to see and manage to describe and show us the experience you are really having in the cars. love it, subscribed!
15:40 Low-res Yuri! Lol. Those seats are about as full featured as you can get, heated, side bolster and lumbar adjustments, massage options, I don't think I've seen a car seat that well thought out before.
I choose cars for my company being the transport engr, first thing I do is visor test and people around me go “like seriously” ? Ps. Would have loved the AMG, from a BMW person.
5:40 Robert Lesnik (exterior design director) chose this sketch for the final production E-Class ( www.caricos.com/cars/m/mercedes-benz/2017_mercedes-benz_e-class/images/51.html ) and it wasn't until the alias/3D modeling stage that the design team realized the design was a bit too complicated. So the alias modelers just did the best they could within the given budget. Of course, the solution could've been a lot better but it would've cost millions in tooling to perfectly close the gap. TL;DR: just an awkward cost-saving surfacing solution to fit those awesome headlights and Yuri was right, Jacob was too close, it's not meant for close viewing
First off, I just started watching a few days ago. You guys are great, keep up the good work. But I'm surprised you didn't know that the gas pump icon shows that the filler nozzle is on the side that the filler door is on the car. Or you did know and are just overthinking it. I drove two different mid 80's cars and they both displayed this symbol. So it's been around for a very long time. Too bad they didn't all switch to the gas filler behind the license plate so you didn't have to figure it out. Thanks again for the work you guys are doing. It's like the Canadian version of top gear BBC/Grand tour.
Guys, look at the gas pump. If the nozzle is on the left of the pump, the gas cap is left of the car. The nozzle is on the right so the gas cap is on the right.
