Holy Mother of God. That Lava Walk from Miss Philippines was unbelievably outstanding. To all the people who thought her body wasn't at par with Miss Universe standards, please, do yourselves a favor and go eat your hearts out because this girl isn't going down without a fight. She was fierce and enchanting at the same time. Can't get better than that. This girl didn't come to Thailand to compete. She came there to bloody claim the crown.

I didn't think USA had a very nice walk in both swimsuit and gown. Very mediocre, no stage presence and the gown is hideous. Overall, I think no one is at par with Philippines, she came as a QUEEN, not as a contestant. -From Ireland

Let me just say that Catriona Gray (Miss Philippines 🇵🇭) is my girl to win this year! I think she did an amazing job in both swimsuit and evening gown. But if I'm going to nitpick on her performance... I wish she did her hair like how she did it during her local pageant win. I think her straight hair is good for introduction and maybe swim suit. I am thinking since she already knows that she is a shoe in for top 20 thats why she didn't show her best look at the prelims. I think she was in her cruise control mode. I think she is going to do a more fierce look ( like how she did her high pony during her arrival day in Thailand) during finals night. I also want to say that her last turn in the evening gown during prelims was what we all expected and wished she would do (classic Catriona hand to the waist back turn), but the turn wasn't executed perfectly, it was a little shaky. She seemed as if she was having a little trouble finding her footing while landing her turn (Am I making sense?). I hope she can polish that turn to perfection for finals. I hope no one thinks that I'm bashing Miss Philippines. God thats the last thing I'm gonna do is to bash my most favorite representative that the Philippines has ever sent to the Miss Universe. I have never seen a girl so invested and determined to win for her country and I applaud her for that. Her pores exude Philippines its crazy!!! I can speak in behalf of all the Filipinos all over the world that we are very proud of Catriona 😘🇵🇭💕.I only have high hopes for her and I love her very much and really hope she would win that is why I am nitpicking of her already amazing performance in the prelims. I think you’re a little blinded by bias. I found Miss USA’s swimsuit walk a little ‘heavy’ and her shoulders just a touch stooped forward in a hunched position. She wasn’t light, natural and flawless as most of the other contestants you featured. Her head positions, hair and facial expressions were good, but the walk itself wasn’t as good you made it sound.

I love how Ms. Philippines change from fierce to smiling face then back to being fierce in a snap and it'a seemless. She is beautiful and wait till she open her mouth, that woman is smart as well.

Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray's gown is best appreciated by Filipinos who see the meaning behind it. In fairness to those who are not familiar with Filipino culture, I believe that researching the "Ibong Adarna" concept would benefit anyone who is not impressed by it.

I wanted to like USA, but Miss USA's walk was stiff as well as her facial expression and her outfits did not have that "wow" factor and there were some statements she said that made her sound very "unMissUniverse".

Miss Curaçao is certainly the most complete black contender in this Miss Universe edition. She did very well in the swimsuit and evening gown prelim. If she did equally well in the, all important, interview prelim and if the MUO give her her dues, she might turn out to be the big surprise of 2018. After all, it's been already seven years since a black woman was crowned Miss Universe.

Catriona is really the only contestant to tell us and show us why she should be miss universe. I mean has there ever been a contestant who created a 3 part video series on the creation and significance of her national costume? If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Her performance last although absolutely stunning and jaw dropping doesn’t even compare to what she does behind the scenes and to promote her worthy causes and being role model to kids. The impact she made to the Filipino people and those of Filipino descent reminds us why we should be so proud of our roots.
