As of August 2021, there is a recall on this issue. I have an appointment on 8/13/21 at a Nissan dealership to fix the issue with my 2018 Nissan Sentra not starting. In the meantime, for those who may experience the problem… a Nissan rep told me to ‘kick’ the brake paddle very hard while pushing the “start/stop engine’ button. Doing this with the right amount of force WILL and DID start the car. Be safe and informed.

Now does this actually solve the issue or simply hide the warning? I'd rather know when it's about to happen with the warning then have it happen with no heads up. My issue is the gas pedal won't respond for about 10 seconds prior to the warning popping up. So the car begins to slow down despite my foot being on the gas. My breaks seem to be fine.

Nice fix ,but when you turn off the ignition ,and then turn it back on, the fault will come back .Then you have to go through the process again. Sorry guys !

You don’t want that off though lol. Means a part of your computer system is not working for your brake’s

I fix mine I was having the same problem and I jus driving and pres the brake harder acople time and the sensor in frontal the bumper send signal to the computer and the light come off and is working good since

Ours is driving us crazy. It keeps turning on. We turn the car off and it will go away for a time, sometimes 30 seconds, sometimes all day. Sometimes not at all. I have a 2019 and it's sad because Nissan definitely knew about this if you tube did. Turning off the Emergency Braking System isn't working for us. Sadly. Today is the worst yet. It has come on and now will only go off for a few miles before it's back and I travel 2.5 hours each way for work daily.
