But her parents thought it would be difficult, Due to her strong will, her parents also agreed to enroll. However, when I was in the first grade, it became difficult to continue practicing due to severe pain in legs, but I couldn't give up dream, so I had surgery to cut bones and returned. In addition, she has a very cheerful personality despite being in such a situation, and I really admire her. Also, “Tachibana” is Japanese citrus. Therefore, the costume is orange color and the hair ribbon represents white flowers. It was designed by OG in 1975 and has a history of 45 years.

Hitomi san, went back to the Rose Parade in the Honour Green Band in 2020 and again received a wonderful welcome. She is a hero no doubt, but doesn’t understand the fuss, which proves how wonderful she is 👏

@@dkrtomodachi Hi Her nickname is Kurara and she is not really into social media I am told, people who got to meet her and socialised with her, her parents and other band members , say getting a response back on social media, is like pulling teeth 😂. One of her best friends in the band , let’s people know that she ok 👍. As I mentioned before, doesn’t like to much fuss, but underneath that drive and determination, there is an emotional side of Kurara, which is why we have a fondness for her. But eh her private life is sacrosanct 🤗

One of my favourite moments of this performance is when DM Ron walks out carrying her clarinet to take her place at the head of the band during the Michael Jackson number. I also agree with you that the Honour Guard girls look and dance like angels. :-)

"Holy Tachibanas" !! Remarkable! Catmimi and I reached for a tissue at exactly the same moment (never watch Tachibana without a Kleenex handy!). Can't say enough about the Truly Wonderful Kurara/Hitomi - She will go far in life!! I hope you take up my suggestion of the Tachibana/Kalen Anzai videos for reaction,the Orange Devils(Angels) become "The White Wonders" with super-smart designer white uniforms and to see them in a really professionally produced video is Something Else! Much Love to you "Caped Crusaders" from The U.K.

Also, I'm sure thers will have told you this but the piece of music just after the Star Wars fanfare and before Sing3x is, in fact 'The Cantina Band Song' from the film Star Wars. The crowd all laughed when KT started playing it because they were expecting the main theme from Star Wars and suddenly the Orange Devils were playing this song and dancing to it before transitioning into Sing3x. :-)

Hey Catmimi & Batam, Thanks for showing one of my favorite KT videos. There are several that show different views of this performance but this is one of the best. Thanks again! (Yes, Hitomi/Karara is my hero too :) ) During KT’s performance, the University of Oklahoma band, which was scheduled to follow KT, is watching KT’s performance from the sidelines and I’m quite sure they were thinking, “Holy Crap! We have to follow THAT??” I’m sure they would have preferred to quietly slip away and gone home. Three long and loud standing O’s for a bunch of high school kids is a tough act to follow. Tears? Common among KT fans. KT is the only marching band that I have ever seen that can produce such emotion and tears of joy and happiness from their audience. I can’t count the number of comments that I’ve read that mention being brought to tears by KT. There is a quality of emotion, a personal connection exuded by this band that is unique and defies explanation. Maybe it’s the smiles, the energy, the cuteness overload, maybe it’s their breaking ranks during a parade to give hi fives to kids. Who does that? Someone recently described KT as not a marching band but a spiritual movement. I agree, they are something very special.

The orange uniforms have not changed in over 40 years. The orange color comes from the name of the high school, Tachibana (a type of citrus fruit). The orange costumes, which make it possible to see the marching team approaching from a distance, are said to be inspired by the color of the tachibana fruit, while the white ribbon attached to the ponytail is said to be inspired by the color of the white tachibana flower. Also, did you notice that the members of the ground formed a heart during "I'll be there"? By the way, the anime that the host was referring to in the video is called "Hibike! (Sound!) Euphonium".In this anime, Ricca High School, which is modeled after Kyoto Tachibana, appears as a rival school where the main character's friends who are involved in brass band music go to school.

In 2012, KT-BAND performed for the first time at the Pasadena Bandfest and Rose Parade. The Horatcha seniors, who you may know, are participating as Drum Major on this one. At that time, all the audience had never seen the girls perform before, so you can see from this video that they were very surprised and excited to see them. This performance at the 2012 Pasadena Bandfest and Rose Parad was so well received that they decided to perform again in 2018.

Konichiwa Dark Knight Reactors, I like this Bandfest 2018 because it is wide angle for the full effect. I really like it because it shows the arrival of the Kyoto Tachibana S.H.S. Band. Look how calm, cool and relaxed that they are. Batam mentioned that she would like to view this event more than once. It's been four months. I would like to offer this video instead: Kyoto Tachibana High School Green Band - 2018 Pasadena Bandfest it has more zooming, but it cuts off a lot of the Tachibansaurus action. The Zooming part is very good for the " Kuirara " narrative. I always get a kick watching Kurara taking in the sights. Minding her own business. Relaxing, not a care in the world. When all of a sudden her reality is shattered when she hears " Clara " called for the second time. 2016 Drum Major Piimo C. ( Rick's ( " BRAVO! " ) Daughter ) turns to Kurara and confirms that she is being called forward. The range of expressions that Kurara displays in those fifteen seconds is priceless and funny. P.S. If you do watch the 24 minute Band Fest video with the close -ups you might notice two instances. 1) With the loud speaker blaring out her name there is no reaction until the Marching Coach Yokoyama calls out " Clara " then both C-san and her Senpai D.M. Pimo ( 113th Term ) before her react and verify with each other. 2) The Color Guard in front of the portable Music Directors Stand is Ms. Hitomi's School Friend, Ms. Milpi. One may notice the ear to ear smile that she is wearing for her Friend, Clara.

Hi Wanako Sabe, that is an excellent choice of video. I liked the acoustics of that Atrium. The song selection was fun. I first heard " Paradise Has No Boundaries " played there. Though it was played at an outdoor performance prior. It's a good performance that was filmed from many multiple angles.

Tachibana is the Japanese name for a wild orange which is ancestral to the mandarin oranges. Therefore the orange color. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachibana_orange
