I have watched a lot of video thus far in my pursuit of my perfect Class B Motorhome. Finding your library of videos has recharged my interest level, helped me become more educated on the daunting subject of Class B Motorhomes and restored my faith that I am finally moving in a positive direction, embolden with the knowledge that I will need to succeed at purchasing the correct motorhome for my needs. Please keep the video coming
wow, greg. that's a very nice compliment indeed. i'll keep on making them if you keep on watching them. let me know what you think of my new comparison video i released today: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7_IKpXtN-GA.html
Thank you for pointing out details such as the fridge not having automatic switchover, the five year warranty, and the bed length. Your reviews provide a great service to current window shoppers like me.
I will definitely consider a used version of this van as an option in a few years. It would be great to pick on up a few years old, gently used, with remaining warranty for significantly less than even a new deal. Very nice review. Thank you.
Neil, great review! We have a Lexor TS on order. Had the opportunity to purchase a FL but decided with the TS because of the smaller galley in the FL and loss of the ottoman seat with the relocation of the closet. The table for the front is the same one for the back and they went from rectangular to round which makes it slightly smaller when you switch it to the back. Thanks again!
Can't go wrong with the TS. I really like that floorplan as well. Agree with what you say on the FL. The wardrobe on the back needs to be an option so that it can be removed. I would never use it and would prefer the ottoman being open above. Would also prefer the smaller refrigerator in the Ascent and the microwave above so that the kitchen has more cabinets.
Great review! I like the bigger refrigerator. We tend to eat a lot more vegetables than anything else, so this would be ideal. We never eat anything out of a box or bag, so the other storage doesn't help me much. We will definitely have to look at this Pleasureway Lexor FL. Thank you for all the details.
I agree, as Asians, we eat a lot of produce, hardly boxed or package food and a good sized fridge is needed . I wonder if its practical to stir fry , make sambal or curry in a B Van.
Thank you sir for another quality review....I came very close to trading for the Lexor TS back in January but didn't like the fact that the front driver seat would not rotate..Now this changes everything. They drive very well
We were looking at this EXACT VAN today! I come home and BAM, this GREAT review. Let me 2nd everything he said in his review. A few additions if I might: 1. I am 6'3" and I find the driver seat sits VERY high. There is no UP or DOWN control to the seat like the Sprinter. Only forward tilt and backward tilt (NO up or down, which in 2018 is an egregious oversight). After 5 minutes of playing with it I finally found a decent position, but it was in no way as comfortable as the Sprinter. The head room is MUCH less then the Sprinter as well for tall guys. I also banged my head moving from the front to the back, and it is weird...you have to bend down not to hit your head while at the same time navigate the front lounge "step" all in one motion. It's very awkward and I would not recommend it for anyone who is a little unsteady. Just fyi. 2. The quality of the cab construction is far below that of the Sprinter. The seat padding I found very lumpy (and scratchy, no ultraleather), the door handles from the inside were a flimsy soft plastic. It felt very much like a low budget work truck to me compared to the Sprinter. I encourage everyone to go see for themselves. None of this is Pleasure Way's fault, but the nature of using Dodge's work van as bones. 3. The layout is good, and the bed is great. For tall people >6' the bathroom was just wonderful. Again, I am 6'3" and I would have no problem standing up in there taking a quick shower. 4. Several here mention the kitchen...as did my wife today lol. The lack of drawers is a real head scratcher. With how innovative Pleasure Way is, this feels like a giant oversight. I wondered aloud why they did not put a pop up counter extension on the back of the galley at least? My wife made a great point that, because of that rear step up, it would be a safety hazard trying to step over it while holding food. That excuse is as good as any, but the fact is, there is only one useable drawer in the whole galley. Ouch. 5. No Magnets on the back doors to keep them all the way open like the Sprinter in case of a wind gust. 6. The Lexor is wider, but also 5"'s shorter then the Sprinter (including the Ascent). Something to keep mind. Overall the RV is great, I just shake my head at how cheaply built the cab seems, and having no seat up and down is just incredible to me. If you are under 6', it prob won't be an issue. With the whole "Mercedes invalidating your warranty if you use biodiesel >5%", we REALLY need a quality gas option.
I have a Roadtrek Zion..on the RAM Chassis. I'm not as tall as you (5' 8") but getting up into the driver's seat is still tight (height and width). I put a small step up stool, in front of the step up ledge. That helps. It lets you step up first without worrying about stepping AND turning sideways to get between the two seats. The fact the seats don't raise doesn't bother me...but I can see why it would be a problem for other people. But all and all I like my Zion despite the tight fit up front. I've had that Promaster on unimproved lumbering roads with A LOT of mud and puddles. Never had a problem. And the Promaster rides so high up, you don't pick up much dirt from the road either. VERY easy to keep clean. I also like the large front window..better than the Mercedes. You feel like you're much more "part of the environment" rather than riding in an RV. I've driven them both (the Promaster and Mercedes) and I've also ridden in the back. I believe the Promaster has a better ride, especially for the passengers. And THAT is important! On the Mercedes and on the previous Roadtrek ( on a Chevrolet chassis) the ride in the rear lounge is bone rattling! The bench seating on my Zion keeps the passengers near the center of the vehicle..and makes for a much smoother ride for them.
Wow.. I think you make a good compelling argument here! I have been keeping an eye on the Lexor TS but with the FL I’m now seriously taking a second look! Cheers!
I really like Pleasure Way designs, just wish they made them for winter. Not all but at least 1 model. I know Winnebago release all season class b rv, so I am hoping more companies like pleasure way and Leisure Vans consider doing that in the future! Awesome review!
the new buying trend is to move away from propane and gas generators. Roadtrek seems to be one of the leaders in this European trend. We rented one for the weekend and it was phenomenal. We didn't skimp on any habits and the Roadtrek CS Adventurous (E-Trek) delivered. So, I'm down for any all electric coach. It was a rewarding experience to need nothing but water, fuel and groceries.
hey there Anti Petrohead. I owned a CS Adventurous also! I liked it but having owned it for a period while I did like the all electric I found that in reality if there was not enough sun or we were parked in the shade that we had to think about our energy usage. it's the same problem with solar on a home. i agree that it would be nice to go completely all electric but there needs to be an alternative source of energy other than the sun. just m opinion.
They have pros and cons, I have full solar on my travel trailer and I still have to run the generator on back to back cloudy days when I am dry camping.
There is much indeed to like about the Lexor FL and it was pretty much at the top of my short list in deciding what to buy. I thought the front lounge was a great plus compared to the TS model - that is, until I learned that the galley/counter is not the same as in the TS - it is a shortened version and loses a lot of counter space. It likely wouldn't matter to you given the use you mainly make of your "B", but we mostly want one for camping and I fear that the considerably reduced counter and kitchen storage could be a deal breaker for us.
We had a compressor fridge in our 2013 Roadtrek Adventurous, and loved it. Tho it was small, we liked the quick cool-down, the fact that perfectly level was not necessary. It ran very well. I am intrigued with the new Novacool compressor fridge, as well as the 12-volt roof A.C. that I think is an innovation in RV cooling.
Neil, I really really enjoy your videos. I’m leaning towards the Paseo but the inverter situation you surfaced is a problem. No one else mentioned it. And now you provide this awesome Lexor FL tour and you might have swayed me to this vehicle. Thanks for your get content.
Hi, Scott. I'm glad you like my channel! I try to be honest and talk about the pluses and minuses of every RV. You can't go wrong with the Lexor FL. It is more expensive than the Paseo but not that much more and you get so much more RV!
That was my first choice, a little under 21 feet long, but the only thing that made me choice the Roadtrek Zion is the volt start instead of the generetor.
I’m going to have to review the Zion. Pleasure way now now has their ATS system which is so much of all start but it does use the generator and at times it does have its advantages. But the Zion sounds like a very nice RV congratulations!
Shame they didn't add the flip up counter in the kitchen. Thank you for pointing out the bed. I'm tall want to have a smaller RV or Van that still feels good to live in full time. Really appreciate your reviews.
Very well done, Lexor is definitely a great RV....we rented a 2015 TS and it was great.....biggest Wet Bath in the industry, only sorry we did not use the bed/lounge properly. Could have had a Twin with walkway...
Great video. We almost ordered the FL but the galley countertop is quite a bit smaller, and it has much less room under the sink. The TS has 2 doors with 2 sliding drawers inside. I do like the lounge area though. We have a TS on order. Happy to let you test drive it when we get it...but we are in Ottawa so several thousand miles away! :-)
I appreciate the considered cadence of your delivery. I don't that much care for my ears being rushed by a K-Tell style video. This one gives me the pleasure of thinking though the pitch at a nice walk-thru pace. : )
I finally got to tour, inspect a Pleasure Way Lexor TS in person this Saturday. I've been over the Crossfit, Travato and Aktiv models with a fine tooth comb in my quest to find which B is right for my wife and I. True to what Neil has said on this and other videos, the Pleasure Way was a much better quality build than the other models I mention above. It was both the small and large attention to detail that became evident to me upon going over every inch of the Lexor. I don't know when I'm taking the plunge (hopefully no later than this time next year) but when I do, I will definitely be investing my hard earned money into the Lexor. Good job Pleasure Way! And a very special thank you to Neil for his honest and detailed reviews of these B vans. I couldn't have got this far without all the excellent guidance and lessons I've learned from watching these videos.
wow, Shawn that's very kind of you! I'm reviewing the Lexor TS tomorrow so look out for the video! I love the Lexor. I really do. after I did tomorrow's video I fell back in love with it. It is almost the perfect camper van. Such great build quality and attention to detail like you say and the price is amazing for what you get. keep us informed on your journey to the RV lifestyle!
I totally agree! I keep looking at the videos and thinking could I drive THIS? Nine times out of ten the answer is a solid No. The tenth is always Pleasureway and the answer is Yes. Now all I got to do is win the lottery band get one! 😄😄😄
Another great review. I just ordered my TS a couple months ago, just before they released the FL. I like the extra table in the front to create 2 separate work spaces. One thing of note, the Screen packages for the doors are not standard (at least not in Canada). They are an option you must pay extra for. Keep up the great great work. BTW; it is snowing up here again, do you miss it :)
You're absolutely right Randy. The screen package is optional and Pleasureway informed me of that as well after I released the video. Thank you for pointing that out. Lol, no I don't miss the snow but my 9 year old does! Where are you from?
Its nice to see Pleasureway is monitoring your site. We are up in Ottawa, but we are in Montreal frequently.today is snow, freezing rain, and now just rain on top of the ice. Welcome to spring in Canada :)
Another great review Neil, thanks! And now I've decided that the Class B I want is really a "unicorn" :) I want the build quality and thoughtful design / customer experience that goes in to a Pleasure Way, combined with the new Volta power system Winnebago just introduced in the Travato KL and GL models (and yeah, a compressor fridge, since with the Volta system you'd have enough battery to power the fridge for days). But we're a few years from purchasing one, so I assume PW will have tech like that as well, once they're convinced they can do it in a way that matches their design philosophy and customer experience stds.
Oh and I love your rounding method, just a little over 20’! 20’11” will be 21’ if the bumpers are dirty! Ha ha! You will have to review my 14’ RV for 1, a Honda Element :) I hear 21’ is a common cutoff for when ferries charge more .
Hi Neil, I'm re watching your videos. They are enjoyable. Have you done a video comparison of the Lexor FL and the Mercedes version? Would be interesting to know what more you get in the larger vehicle.
hi there. I have not. in the Lexor compared to the Ascent you get a larger rear lounge and bed plus the wardrobe closet. Also the kitchen is a bit larger as is the bathroom. the Lexor is 1.5 feet longer.
Awesome review Neil - Some serious food for thought when comparing to Ascent .... just dont know why they don't allow the bathroom window to open like on the Ascent - that is such a nice feature to allow fresh air in and helps with odors and moisture.... I know there is the fantastic-fan next to bathroom door but the ability to open the window is a real cool feature on the Ascent
well here's the thing. after having owned the ascent with the opening window i think i'd prefer the window on the Plateau. basically what they do is leave the automotive window in the driver's side and then cut out an opening in the bathroom to allow for the automotive window to show through. this is better in my mind because on the Ascent they have to fabricate a fiberglass panel to insert into the place where the window would be and then cut out a part of the fiberglass to insert the little window that opens. the end result is that instead of a single sheet of automotive glass there are two panels and twice the possibilities for leaks which in my case is what has happened. my fiberglass panel is leaking water into the bathroom unfortunately.
Ultramobility oh wow. That’s no bueno about leaking bathroom window. . Good to hear a real user’s experience with the actual functioning of the RV and not going off marketing videos. Does the fantastic fan do a good job of pulling all bathroom odors out of the RV after use?
it definitely works better when there's a window in the bathroom that can open and air can cross circulate through. i'll test with the window shut and see how things fair and report back.
I like the quality and technology upgrades of Pleasure-Way. However, they are almost too slow to upgrade layouts, accommodate practical desires such as four-season, and offer Norcold compressor refrigerators. I would like to see their version of a Winnebago Travato 59KL - the “L” version has more features, but the price is reportedly much higher. Two people do not need a large table in the front of an FL. In your opening scene, you looked trapped in the driver’s seat with the table in place. I wish Pleasure-Way would give us the same pull-out passenger side front table found in a Winnebago Travato 59K along with an improved driver side table and we have a better dining solution. How often will we seat someone on the passenger side ottoman? I think I would prefer more counter top space with a drawer underneath and twin-bed legroom under that. Great review. Thanks.
Hi, Dan. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. In some ways Pleasureway is more innovative than other RV manufacturers. They were the first to offer lithium ion batteries standard. They offer multiplex wiring on all models standard and color touch screens standard but I agree that it's good that there are other manufacturers pushing the technology edge.
I too think the counter space is not large enough. And why no flip ups like the ascent as possible counter space. I don't even think there is much if any storage under that ottoman to off set the lack of cabinet kitchen storage. I like the FL refrigerator, micro/convection, the kitchen is the bugger. I do think a flip up table for the passenger in front would be more practical.
Well my friend you have sold me on pleasure way. You do such a great job of being truthful even though you may make some vendors mad. Once again thank you, For a great job on your presentation.
The Bill Baker I'm happy that you're zeroing in on your perfect RV! There's an RV for everyone and every lifestyle. I personally love the Lexor FL and pleasure-way in general - obviously since I own one!
Another great review! Nicer than a Travato K, but more money. Granted, you get a lot for a little more. It looks like a little more space for the driver. A 5’11” or taller person in a K is tight for driving. Can you really seat 5 in the back with the closet? I would caution anyone with a pet not to trust a “volt start” system to “ALWAYS” keep their pet cool/safe. Maybe a remote temperature monitor of some sort or manually check every half hour. Probably would have to use closet for pantry with so little kitchen storage. Hope there is enough underbed storage. A large fridge is not very useful if no other kitchen storage to match. Thanks Kevin
You make some excellent excellent points. One thing you could do is set the vent to open up at a certain temperature as well as the AGS system that way if the AGS fails at least the rooftop that would help keep the inside cool. You’re right you can’t really see five people in the back because of the wardrobe cabinet it covers one of the Ottomans.
Thanks for the great video, I’m a member of Costco and I have purchased my last two cars using their car purchasing plan. I enjoy buying cars this way because it ends the haggling dance between buyer and salesman and all the managers they need to ask to accept your offer. Before that I actually walked out of a car dealership and was entering my car after spending 3 hours trying to negotiate a price. He saw me put my key into the ignition and then said my last offer was agreeable. I can now imagine the hassles of buying a new motorhome. I would be paying cash and I want the best price. I heard you can find out the price they pay for the motorhome and you can offer them possibly a thousand above their costs. How have the haggling gone between you and the PC dealership?
Well RV dealerships are just like car dealerships unfortunately. My experience by my pleasure way was definitely a better experience than my first RV. Still it wasn’t smooth and it was bumpy and it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Attended the Hershey Show and was very impressed with the 2019 Lexor FL Love the new table set up, the leather seats and larger sink Also I could not believe the size of the bathroom
Your videos are all well done. You explain everything clearly and thoughtfully. What you say just makes sense. I get so tired of the “You got yer switches here. Here you got yer knobs. Over here you got yer toilet” style so many of the other reviewers use. May I ask what your “dimensions” are? I think I’m a bit taller than you are. Knowing how tall you are would give me a good reference in vans with close quarters.
well thank you very much Eileen. I try to speak to the good and the bad on every design. i watch almost every other review out there so i figure most of my viewers have as well. i don't go over the same stuff - i try to talk to things that are meaningful based on my experience. i generally never show the outside because they all pretty much look the same and you've all seen the outsides from other reviews so often. as far as my height i'm 5'10" that's a good point. i'm going to mention that more in my videos. thanks for the comment!
Out of curiosity what Class B Model do you recommend for a cost-conscious family of 4? I really like the layout of the Travato K. I've been trying to work out in my mind if it would be possible to make a custom set of fold-up or drop-down bunks for the twin sleep area. As my children get older I don't think they are going to be as keen on sharing a bed. Just interested if you knew of an off the lot solution.
Very detailed and well reasoned, as always Neil. Will you be doing a follow-up driving impressions review. I am curious on your thoughts comparing the drivabilty of the Ascent with the Lexor.
hi, Juergen. I'll see if I can work with the manufacturer to arrange a test drive. I'd like to do that but sometimes dealers won't take the time if I'm not a serious buyer.
Nice review Neil :) did you happen to see Humble Road video he was in a pleasure way that had a swivel round table in the back too bad they don't have that in the front so then the driver wouldn't feel trapped
excellent video Neil, BUT I wish you would go round the outside to show hookups etc. But seriously a great video, and it's obvious how much you like this coach
Another excellent review, thanks Neil. I would really like hear your opinions on the pro's & con's of the Accent vs. Lexor in terms drive quality. So I guess that would be Sprinter 2500 vs. Ram Promaster 3500.
many thanks, Wayne. I'm going to do that. I have to arrange with the manufacturers a time when they can allow me to test drive their vans. thanks for sharing!
Neil, we enjoy your reviews greatly, and they are very useful and entertaining. Could you show the rear storage areas beneath the couch/ bed that many class Bs have? We are shopping now for a new class B, and have because of your reviews narrowed down our preferences on features. We like the big bath with the storage and medicine cabinet in the Pleasure Way, as well as the built-in trash receptacle. We also need a front TV. or a place to put one for front of coach viewing. The rear sleeping area is also a must for us , as we rretire and wake up at different times. If we can find a coach with these features, as well as lithium batteries with 2000 watt inverter and solar panels, and 12 volt roof AC, we would narrow our choices considerably. We do prefer the Transit chassis or the Sprinter over the Promaster. Thanks for the great information.
I'm wondering more and more about "special orders", vans people order in advance, usually to get a change to the base vehicle. Sacrificing the overhead storage in a Promaster might be worth it for me, along with upgrading to park assist functions where available from the manufacturer. When you talk to manufacturers could you get feedback on how they treat special orders?
For the most part it is a attractive functional RV. One thing I don't like window in the bathroom you don't really need that. Also being 6-2 I'll be hitting my head all the time so this vehicle is out for me. Thanks for the good review though.
Speak of Ford Transit perhaps you can do a review on the leisure travel van Wonder FTB. I seen the video of it online and that looks promising for me see if you can find one thank you.
That brings up a question after I saw you do a review on the Ford. Does the front driver seat swivel? I seem to remember that it doesn't on the review you did recently. Is that a Ford issue?
Very informative once again. Any chance of a plateau review in the future? I also just found another very interesting PW channel you might like. Humble road.
We went to look at the FL model today. We saw no mounting point for the round table between the drivers and passenger seats. The salesman indicated that Pleasure Way decided not to include that feature, and the model you reviewed was not a production model.
Great video as usual. Like the front wheel drive for winter driving. I know it is for couples, but can you accommodate a third person(teenager)by way of a sleeping bag in the aisle or can you place an air mattress on the two front seats?
Hi, Helena. It would be a challenge for a teenager. for a child up to maybe 10 it might work. they make beds for the Sprinter that go across the two front seats. Not sure if they have these for the Promaster. There are solutions on RU-vid for making your own. The challenge is always the steering wheel and getting it clear of the bed.
For starters, I would have a Pleasure Way over an Airstream. In Pleasure Way, I would prefer the microwave where I would not need a step to use it. But first, I have to win the Publishers''Clearing House Sweepstakes first! Until then, these videos are my dream and drool times.
I just found this Channel and sub great review. I find it an obvious misstep that the little laptop table behind the driver seat does not mate exactly with a round table in the galley I wish there was no space there so that you could really open up the space if needed maybe you could suggest this? Also do they have an option where the refrigerator intelligently switches because I'm an idiot and I will forget. Also how many seat belts are in this thing total?
The problem: Mercedes DEMANDS a 75K$ figure for their chassis. THAT is the reason for the RAM low price which costs much less..and I PREFER the RAM (despite) the step up into the drivers compartment. Having front wheel drive is handy on back roads that are unimproved. You always know where your drive wheels are (just look out the side window). Reduces your chances of getting stuck in the mud with the rear wheels spinning. Plus..I THINK..the RAM has a better ride and the front window gives you a much better view of the road and the surroundings.
fully loaded mb chassis are more likely around the high $40k mark and rv dealers likely get a volume discount but still there are much more expensive then ram promaster or ford transit chassis.
Hi Neil, We have just returned from the Toronto RV show ( we live in Niagara Falls Canada) where we had the great fortune to be able to get a look at the Luxor FL. We (my wife and I) really loved the Pleasureway range of vehicles on display , especially the Luxor, fit and finish on the PW’s was far superior to several make we looked at, the only one coming close was the LT range. Anyway my question is (based on your Canadian buying experience) the Luxor had a MRSP of $132,400 with a show price of $123,300. In your opinion, do you think this is a good price or is their some more wiggle room. Really appreciate your input.
if you can get a 15% discount then you are doing VERY well on a Pleasureway. I negotiated HARD and got a 13% discount. Pleasureways are just hard to find, limited supply but lots of demand. not many on lots so dealers keep the prices higher.
Yes I do! Check out HappyDaze RV in Sacramento. That's where I toured this one. They also have one in Skyriver in Paso Robles. If you buy one tell PW that Ultramobility sent you!
Neil did they have that color combo in Paso Robles? I’m calling them to find out because I want to drive that Luxor FL Pleasure Way Van away. I need the bigger fridge and oven micro combo is good for baking lifting hot food, if you are under 6 ft. tall. Don’t you dare buy that van, it’s mine. LOL
I see on the Ram Promaster online site that some of the same safety devices that are included with the MB Sprinter chasses are also available on 2018 Promaster vans. I'm thinking of accidental lane changing warning, collision braking assist, blind spot warning. Are any of these features included in the PW Lexors, by chance? According to the PW brochure, apparently not. Too bad.
sorry I haven't released it yet. sometimes, i add commentary in knowing that I am going to release the review in the future. You'll definitely see when it is released!
★★★★★ Outstanding, thank you so much for sharing. 🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐 Enjoy the journey... I like the size of the refrigerator, Well at least you can start on your upgrades on your RV
Ultramobility we love the openness provided by having the rear bathroom . We lovelovelove our travato 59k for that reason but I Think the rear dry bath in the Arriva would be total perfection But I have yet to get a really good overall view of that coach in a video especially in the bed area . Waiting for yours!!!!
the quality is definitely there for full timing but i'm not sure the layout is ideal for that. the rear sofa/bed is going to become a drag having to make it up and down each day. if you're full timing then you really need some kind of permanent bed setup in my opinion.
I have went from wanting a Crossfit, to a Paseo, and now want a Lexor FL. Do you have videos discussing class B 4x4 options? (Saw the Revel review, wanted to know if there were others. Does Pleasure Way make 4x4 models/options?
Neil, you say the TS and FL are identical, other than moving the wardrobe aft to accommodate the front workspace, but I'm looking at the two floor plans side by side, and it appears the galley countertop is noticeably larger in the TS vs the FL, forward of the sink. Is this correct? Also, I didn't see your normal table of options pricing on this coach. Did I miss it?
hi there. yes you're right the galley is considerably smaller on the FL as well. I wasn't doing the standard features text projections yet when I did this review. I now do it for all reviews.
I'd have to really review the 59KL. I hear it is going to be up to $30k more expensive than the normal 59k so that would put it much more expensive than the Lexor. I would need to see the build quality be higher as in no staples in the cabinetry to pay that much.
i would have settled for the smaller refrigerator like on the ascent; put the microwave above it and then open up all that space in the galley for drawers.
The problem with Pleasure Way: They don't have enough outlets...like Roadtrek has...around the USA. The closest one to me is HUNDREDS of miles away. Roadtrek is 15.
Neil, is there any way to mount an external computer monitor to the bulkhead behind the driver seat in the FL, to allow for more computer screen space? Might even use as a tv, too.
Hi Neil, very nice analysis... Can you recommend a dealer who will sell one of these for around $100k? Here in Fort Myers FL, we do have a Pleasure Way dealer but they do not seem to want to deal much on these...For a $15k difference I could fly most anywhere in North America and save a bundle... Regards, Don
hey don. i'm not sure you're going to get one for around $100k. you could check out HappyDaze RV here in Sacramento. That's where I found this one for the price listed. I'll keep an eye out for you. Pleasure-ways are hard to find and dealers know it so they don't generally give a big discount.
Are the front seats (driver/pass) height adjustable, so that you can set your height when using the driver's side front lounge flip-up table? Can the passenger use the round table with a laptop as well? Thank you.
Let me be clearer, I was saying that if the sink in your assent were a pull down over or behind the commode then you could stand to shower and I will buy it since I love PW and the shorter length..... so why don’t they
oh i see what you're saying. i'm not sure why they don't do a pull down sink. dean may feel that they are kind of clumsy. i agree that if you could move the sink to behind the toilet then you'd have a lot more room to shower and possibly do so standing up.
That VoltStart is a killer feature. Generators are noisy and inefficient compared to the van's actual engine. Why carry around TWO motors when you already have one under the hood.
yep although I've heard many folks with Voltstart don't trust it to start up if the weather is hot and they need to run the ac for their pets. so it begs the question: how useful is Voltstart if you don't trust it enough to use it for its primary purpose?
Only 1 drawer in the kitchen! It looks like they shrunk the kitchen in half. I wouldn’t like that at all. My Chevy Roadtrek 210 Popular have 4 drawers plus 5 other cupboards in the kitchen area. I also only like the compressor fridges.
hey tracy. watch my upcoming video on an advantage of propane refrigeration over compressor refrigeration. I'm going to have to do a review of the 210!
I do understand there are some advantages to the propane refrigeration. I just like to run as much as possible via my 12 volt system. (And the reason I ordered 4 6volt batteries during my built process) My tv runs via 12 volt too. (I don't watch much tv except I like watching it before going to bed) I think you might have a tough time getting a 210 to review. Roadtrek has for the most part stopped making them. Sucks because now nothing else new will work for me if I want to switch things up. (The Promaster won't work for me because of the tow capacity and I don't want anything Mercedes) That's why I purchased a brand new Chevy 210 while I still could. I wanted all the technology I could get at the time of purchase. I also wanted it to last me as long as possible and starting with a new one will help with that!
That cabinet/sink in the bathroom is such wasted space. If a sink is really necessary, use a fold down sink. All that floor space could be used for a more comfortable shower.
I feel the same way! I’ve noticed the bathroom sick’s are taking up way to much space.... for me, I would put a sanitizer bottle in there. But that’s just me! Still a great source of information here, with an excellent reviewer!
So this brings up a Great question. Since you have a Sprinter. How do you think the Dodge Promaster compares to reliability and service to the Springer. Couple of things I am looking at is the Maintence cost difference, gas versus diesel and that the Promaster is wider than the Sprinter and the Ford isn't it? Making it more roomy inside which is where you really need it. What are your comments Neil? GREAT REVIEW.. I think you have sold me on this one..:)
