I am impressed how the bow does not pull his arm, Steven has so much control to pull the string and return the string to the bow to the initial position, this guy is strong.
So interesting with the cam set up as it behaves just the same as the beast ecs. Daylight between the two let off modules and it litteralyy feels like 2 different bows. Everything you mentioned from speed change, valley and torquing is identicle to the beast. Love the practical honesty of the review Steve.
Hey Steven, I love my Xpedite. The reason your velocities were so different was because you used your target arrows vs GoldTip chrono arrows. Its not a very big difference in reality.
I just got an Expedite. Chronographed it today at 320 fps with a 70 lb, 30" draw, 85% letoff, using Speed Freak arrows with 75 grain points. Just sharing some data for you.
I really like your reviews! Most people just don't take the time to do a full review, but you do. Personally I'd like to see more recurves Both trad bows and olympic. But that's just me. Thanks for this one.
Hi Steven, Thank you for the revealing review on the Expedite. I am 63 years of age and prefer to not stress my shoulders as much as when I was younger. Plus I like to shoot daily. The Expedite is a bow I had ruled out until your review. I will test one with the HL modules. Tom......
Excellent review as always. Now you made feel good about ordering both sets of modules. I loved how the Xpedite shot, definitely knew that arrow was getting it done. Still waiting for the Shootdown review.
Great review !! I would love to see you do this same review Indoors with a target setup (peep, target sight and stab. ) I bet you would pack those arrows into that 10 ring.
I got to shoot this bow at my local archery shop and for having a small brace height it is smoother than my Stinger max. It does drop off very quick right before I'd anchor. But had no vibration after the shot with no stabilizer on it. I shot it at 70lbs and 30 inch draw. very surprised at this bow.
I'm guessing you're shooting 400s. Would a Velocity 340/300 spine work better with the lower let off? Maybe the initial torque flexes the shaft more in the same distance than the high let off. With a 30 fps difference and @ 18m, it could theoretically increase your group size. Just a thought the nerd in me had. Great vid, btw. Thanks!
i shot the new shootdown, as i was so excited to shoot it, i was so disappointed. i really don't think our local rep knows how to tune these bows as the bow wouldn't sit on the back wall what so ever, (that was with the 90% mods) then the 80% was the exact same. it was super jumpy! really wish you were local Steven i bet i would actually enjoy shooting PSE.
I have not shot the Shootdown. But I did have one guy travel 3 hours to try all the bows and he brought the only one I had. More came in last week. I do like my Perform. The ones I sold people love and are shooting PB's. I did have one returned.
I've been looking for a full throttle but after reading and watching reviews on the xpedite I'm leaning more towards it. I was shooting Hoyt nitrum turbo until I sold it due to finding out I had cancer. What bow would you recommend, I like a fast flat shooting bow and the draw being a little tougher doesn't bother me. I have shot the full throttle and really liked it and would probably own it if it wasn't for everything else going on. Thanks in advance
The modules for the evolve cam system seem like they have a similar idea as the Powershift from Bowtech. Just get a different module and you have a different feeling bow.
supposedly the FL ---> HL mod swap is only a 10 fps loss ? The drastic speed differences with the HL mods makes me think the lighting on your chrono is affecting the readings, love the review thanks
Fast bows are excellent for hunting. But, when shooting 3D competition, the International Bow Hunters Organization designates a maximum arrow speed of 280 fps. while the Archery Shooters Association designates maximum arrow speed of 260 fps. to 290 fps. depending on the class an archer is competing in. So, the only advantage a fast bow presents for a 3D archer is a lower draw weight.
vibration dampener on teh limbs? im using the factory one (rotated 90 degrees so it dont slip) also have some limbsavers which i think steve uses or was using anyway.
