I put the open box Magnum Force in my 2018 Silverado. The only difference I notice is the noise in heavy acceleration. Feel like I wasted some cash that could have gone to a better upgrade like new speakers.
Ya you do get more noise but I personally like to hear the natural sound of the v8. The stock intake dampens the noise to make everything quiet. You should pick up some hp but it's not going to be enough to be noticeable on the butt dyno. Depends what you want to do with your vehicle. If your goal is to make more power and do exhaust and tune you may gain enough power to make small noticeable difference. The true test for the numbers would be on the dyno or track times. I don't think it's a waste of money. Much nicer and free flowing intake over stock.
Small world when you see a video of someone driving around barnhart! I'm trying to decide between this intake and the rough country. The RC is about half the price.
Good job, mine mechanic found mine k&n with the aluminum intake and throttle control commander. Mine 6.2 Chevrolet Silverado High country is working really good I am happy with the results. Thank you for your videos. 😊
I've never been a fan of closed boxes unless maybe you do a ton of off roading. I like the open box and it felt great on the truck with the open intake.
I have a 2010 silverado and put one on, but mine dosnt make the waaapp sound when shifting which I was hoping for. Do you happen to know what the diffrence may be
