I did a Corsa intake for my 2024 Chevy z71 5.3 and paired it with a Magnaflow muffler 12589 and boy does that sound good , plus you and feel the difference in the pedal acceleration…
I installed the Blackhawk on my 6.2 zr2. It was working perfectly for more than a month but now when I step on the gas it lags. I’ve checked all connections and everything looks to be good, would it be the computer that adjusted ?
Just ordered Corsa cat-back exhaust and Corsa Powercore Intake for my ZR2, great video man, Good stuff to know for when I'm installing The CAI... Thanks!
All your doing is sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Raising you AIT and lowering performance. The closed box might not have sounded as loud but I would bet the truck preformed better with it.
The ole “ louder equals faster theory”!!!Open box system is just sucking in hot air from the engine bay. CAI alone wont show any actual hp gains despite what the add’s tell us. 🤷🏻♂️
Actually, I use AFE on my diesels and they all work great. I’ve used AFE before on my gas vehicles, but for gas, I decided to stay with these two this time. Whipple makes a good intake too. They are all about the same on sound and performance except the K&N Blackhawk. Love the dry filter on the Blackhawk too, but you definitely pay for this damn set up!
The K&N intake is a complete kit called the Blackhawk. This intake comes with their dry filter and aluminum intake tube. The dry filter was the big deal for me since I hate cleaning and re-oiling those oil coated ones. Check out the K&N website for other options for your vehicle. You may want to go with a cheaper intake if that Blackhawk cost makes your head spin! 😂
We will be talking about paint issues on both the white and blue ZR2’s coming up in another video but ya…… Chevy has some quality control issues on their ZR2’s for sure. Thanks for subscribing!
Nope, if you ever had a major issue, take it off and take it in. But if you have a good relationship with your dealer you should never have an issue over an intake.
Just installed the black hawk edition in my 2022 ZR2 today and it still makes that poof 💨 noise wen shutting engine off are you sure your doesn’t do that ? Am thincking it’s normal 🤷
@@janicegarcia4693 ok, I guess I never really noticed it before since I drive in manual mode 5 with tow mode on around town and manual mode gear 7 in areas with mph zones. Manual mode turns off auto shut off and tow mode give you better shift points, try it. When it shits off I do hear a little poof, that’s normal. It’s so slight I never really paid attention to it 😂. Drive in M, you’ll thank me and you’ll save yourself from buying an DFM disabler.
I just installed a Corsa sport exhaust on my 2023 Chevrolet suburban z71 6.2L? Im looking for a cold air intake system Now from what i heard your saying to go with K&N system is that what you would recommend K&N ?
@rant-n-rave7816 Yes best performance and Being heard lol I already get compliments on the exhaust sound itself. I like it loud I want to feel the difference too lol
@@PeteyPablo408 Then you definitely want the Blackhawk, you’ll feel it in the throttle/gas pedal as you accelerate, trust me. I’m selling this one shortly Pete, took it off to lemon this damn truck!
Your losing HP by sucking in all the hot air from the engine bay. GM knew what they were doing when they designed the stock air box. It suck cold air from outside the front of the truck. The Corsa system "should" make more power than the K&N. Although it's debatable if they do anything at all.
Nope, just watch my other videos though before you do it. Be sure to disconnect your battery first to clear settings before you install and you’ll be fine. My advice before you buy either…… GO BUY A TRX!
@@rant-n-rave7816 i am buying a single cab sierra AT4 next week , i am thinking about modifiying it so thats why i am asking , and no i am never buying a ram , we have one dealership for ram and he sucks so much that no one wants to buy anything from him he makes sales all the time and still no one wants to buy from him , no spare parts always waiting for your spare parts minimum a month , poor customer service and a bad resale value for rams in my country so a sierra is my best option rn
