Wow, Èlia Bastida has some great chops, Stephane Grappelli would be proud! Ignasi Terraza's piano and Scott Hamilton's solo are a delight for the ears!

Elia, vocabulary increases with every video. But the big one for me is how she breezes by the toughest task for jazz violin - playing in tune.

I am hoping Elia reads and enjoys all these comments - this performance gets better for me each time I watch it and we all run out of superlatives eventually!!

The evenings with the old ones who released violins and guitars from the old cabinets cracked by the years and played all the tunes of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt. Thank you Joan for all your hard work for so many years! Thank you for allowing so many young people to learn alongside elders.

I let my 7yr old daughter listen to this. A few days later she asked me if she could go to a music academy. She's into her 2nd year of music school/violin lessons now.

Like others I say this far too often, but it just cant get any better, can it? Just a beautiful rendition of Stardust, then that great McKenna-esque left hand from Ignasi, then just powerful swinging at the end. And then the capper is that freeze-frame at the end with Elia smiling at Scott and Joan’s expression of joy in the background. What a way to start the day! Thanks everyone!

I had the good fortune of meeting Stéphane Grappelli and to hear him in an open air concert in Québec City. Élia sounds as good or better than he did - and she is still very young and developing her skills. Who knows how high she will get. And to pair her with Ignasi Terraza who in my opinion is the best jazz pianist playing today - just marvellous. Keep it going.

This is one hell of a performance from Elia, such a well developed feel for jazz, which I guess owes much to practicing and performing with the experienced older folk like Scott Hamilton

This woman is not only physically beautiful, she plays extremely beautiful music. That violin fret board is etched in her brain. There are no words for the music she just played, just music.

Qué belleza, qué técnica, que sentimiento, se me han puesto los pelos de punta hasta en el DNI. Fabuloso, genial, sublime, no tengo palabras y ¿qué decir de los maestros Terraza y Hamilton?, perfectos, sin olvidar la base genial de Carla, Pablo y la mano maestra del MAESTRO Chamorro, repito, sin palabras, las lágrimas de felicidad lo dicen todo. Si hay un cielo musical, tiene que ser muy parecido a esto. No cambiéis nunca, sino es para mejor, si es posible....

I started to love jazz violin by Elia. Am on the same frequency and tune as she was...the company alltogether has been long before ready for world stage!

Of course Elia, Ignasi and Scott are there normal kickin' it self, but let's hear it for drummer Pablo Ruiz and Joan!!! I'd like to take that rhythm section home with me. Beautiful work Joan!

Elia has astounding violin technique which is fitting for a Grapelli tribute. Scott Hamilton is always excellent and Ignasi is superb. Thanks to bass viol master Joan for another excellent jazz video. Marvelous and entertaining.

Just started my day with this uplifting sound. Please thank the cameraman. It was great as a very late beginner pianist to see Ignasi's flying fingers, Scott's sheer pleasure in Elia''s swing - a significant tribute from a man who played with Benny Goodman. Topping it off is seeing Carla and Pablo graduate to accomplished public performance after years of dedication as students. Joan, of course, the rock behind it all. Forget the virus we can be happy at home with this.

Amazing! Somehow Joan Chamorro's magic continues to grow with even more impressive performances from young and old as the years role on. Elia plays with such a swing on a very difficult instrument that I loose my breath.Her lines are so great.that it reminds me of Svend Asmussen (the great danish violinist that toured all over the wold ,but unfortunaly died reasently 100 years old) Many classical violinist shoud listen to Elia alhough its another genre.Hope to hear you Joan in Copenhagen . Wow! There are only superlatives to describe Èlia's playing. The music is obviously in her soul and she risks out-performing everyone else on stage. You can see she wants to bust out but graciously restrains herself. A talent like hers seldom comes along; how fortunate we are.

The sound engineering (and videography) is so good on all these videos from Joan, so good, that you don't notice it. It never gets in the way of the music. Always in sympathy with the musicians.
