Sorry, I don't have access to a hybrid model. It may be similar to the '07 Prius. I have a video on changing the hybrid cooler on that.

So that you don't trap any air in the system start the car and let it warm up with the cap OFF of the coolant reservoir. When the engine gets warm keep squeezing the radiator hoses to burp air out of the system. Always check the level every day for a few days to see if the level goes down from coolant replacing any air pockets.

I know that the Toyota coolant is formulated for their head gaskets. I don't know enough about after market coolants to recommend a replacement.

@@davidgpo where did you read this head gasket thing?

@@sugarytv It's commonly known that dissimilar metals corrode when in contact. You have aluminum heads and block with a steel gasket.

On my 2017 I used a 11/32" hose onto the rad drain. I think a 3/8" will also work.

On my 2017 the manual says it holds 6.8 Litres, 1.8 U.S. liquid gallons.
